Didn't see one, so I am going to start one.
A group of us recently picked up KOFXIII and we play every Wednesday at OverKlocked (http://www.overklocked.com (http://www.overklocked.com)) in Edmonton. There's about 6 to 8 of us that are pretty into it, so we'd love for more people to come out and make our scene thrive.

We gotta do a better job promoting KOF, I know there are a billion hongers in this city just waiting to be discovered lol. Possibly in the new year, make an ad or something.

Best way you can do that is to continue playing, practicing and taking the game seriously. Then from there record matches of yourself playing, slap em on youtube or stream them, and promote them here or on SRK, and you will find people that play or are interested locally.
The real challenge is find those who don't go to video game stores, or gaming sites online at all. One person I found locally who is really good, I came across randomly from facebook.

Might be a decent idea to put some of the archive footage up on youtube. I don't think twitch has enough exposure.

How much work would it be to parse out each match from the 5v5 into short clips to upload?
I imagine, not much... but then again I don't know anything about the internet...

Hmmm...I can't speak for everyone else but I've taken a break from KoFXIII, atm. I have a lack of motivation and other games are keeping me occupied. I did find about 7 other Edmonton KoF players yesterday so I'm working on expanding the KoF scene here.

Sad how dead this thread is. I will be hitting the game hard up until EVO, if anyone at all is interested in playing hit me up on PSN Awesomesaur, or notify me locally on here, or shoot a PM on SRK or whatever.

Khoa dropped the game for SFxT/LoL/DoTA2/Diablo 3; Calvin doesn't really play anymore; Stang plays it on & off but he's addicted to LoL; and Jim is busy with work. I still play the game regularly but the last few days have been dedicated to learning skullgirls. There's another group of people in Edmonton who play KoFXIII and we're working together to plan a event that will hopefully expand the KoF scene.
We know the game sold well in Edmonton so where are all of these players? Hopefully what we have planned will lure out all of these hidden players. There's still a lot of details that need to be worked out but it might take 2-4 months before something comes out of it.

For any players in Alberta who are looking to learn KoFXIII or get some casual sessions, there will be a KOFXIII station this Saturday, May 4th at Macewan City Center Campus Building 6 Cafeteria. Besides the actual tournaments that are going on during this day, there will be KoFXIII station to help interested players learn the game, as well as network with any other KoF players. Please spread the information as we want a good turn out. This game has been ignored in Alberta for far too long and it's about time that it starts taking center stage.
