Post by: MAASKYO on April 19, 2011, 12:37:52 PM
  what the best method to do this combo
  ;dn ;df ;fd ;d~ ;d run  ;dn ;df ;fd ;a  ;fd ;df ;dn ;bk ;d ..??  ((best non dm combo in middle screen))
it's works with me some if i made the qcf+a to hcf+a or (( ;up ;ub ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd ;a )) but still some time do the dp+a come out..??

also do you have a trick to do dp+ ;c into orochinagi super..??

Resurrecting this thread because I'd like to ask if you can confirm or deny a possible answer to the second question.

Is the best (or even only) Oniyaki to Orochinagi shortcut ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;df ;c~ ;dn ;df ;fd ;a ?
I think I kinda understood the principles behind the default command combo, but I can't be sure about them because my execution is subpar at best.

Are you asking this for KOF XI or XIII?

That sounds reasonable... and the the first question the OP had, I would assume you need a  ;dn ;df ;fd ;uf ;a for your qcf+A since the uf will do an override and prevent the DP.

@Amedo: for XI, I didn't specify because it's the KOFXI section, sorry ^^;
@Crazy Li: thank you for somewhat confirming about the super cancel buffering.

It's cool. It's my fault for assuming that most new folks are here only for XIII. It seems that alot of people would not have access to playing XI now.

As for your question, my inputs for dp to orochinagi cancel is like the one you posted, but I only do the shortcut on my right side and I do the normal input on my left side. It's more of a preference thing.

Here's what I do for both sides:

Left side:  ;bk ;dn ;db + ;a / ;c (DP),  ;dn ;df ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk +  ;a / ;c (Orochinagi)

Right side:  ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;fd + ;a / ;c (DP), ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd + ;a / ;c (Orochinagi)

It works for nearly all KOF games for me.

That's exactly what happens to me, I only have to rely on buffering when facing right for this cancel (a couple days ago my execution was even worse than now and I needed to buffer even when facing left). Guess it's one of the many subtleties in the KOF input programming.
