So, the mention that KoF XIII will have a panel at EVO is one thing, but did no one pay attention to the other news in the press release? Atlus is also bringing the console version for play at Otakon!

That's the perfect crowd to show the game off to, and I remember Blazblue doing something similiar to this before it's release, as well.

Wow! This keeps getting better and better. I couldn't have picked a better year to attend EVO for the first time.

Holy hell, my respect for some of you here has dropped really far, really fast. Opinions are fine and all, and I certainly don't expect everyone to like the same things, but some of you guys are talking like people should feel bad if they like MK. What the hell kind of shit is that? If you wanna hate a game then go ahead and hate it, but don't go and make assumptions about people cause they like something you don't. KOF is my favorite 2D fighting game series, and VF is my favorite 3D fighting series, but I happen to like many other games including MK. Those just happen to be the games I like and I'm not a better or worse person for it.

Sorry for being off topic, but it's shit like this that I thought I was getting away from when I came here.

Back on topic, I'm looking forward to the KOF XIII panel at Evo. I'll definitely be attending that.

I will be at Evo and I will definitely participate. Unfortunately I will get bodied. There are zero KOFXIII cabs in close proximity to where I live. So much stuff to learn!

You won't be the only inexperienced player there. I only got to play this game once, but I intend on showing up and giving it a go anyway.

Did anyone else notice that the ATLUS website claims that the game has "New console-exclusive fighters, including Billy Kane"? I mean if you take that word for word then it basically confirms that there are more characters coming.

SNKP is putting so much effort into this game and trying to promote it, ATLUS better start picking up its own weight in this affair
I really want to know how are they going to market this game out to masses?

I don't really think anyone should be worried about ATLUS keeping up their end of the deal at this point. They have always been good about bringing us the goods and I don't see a reason why they would stop now. Also, you have to remember that they mostly bring over niche titles that don't appeal to a wide audience. They got to do things just right or they'll end up spending more money than they can make. Working Designs (man do I miss them) went balls out on nearly everything they localized to the point of absolute overkill, and it put them out of business.

Besides, they got a big release, Catherine, coming right around the corner. I'm sure their focus will shift heavily to KOF XIII after Catherine comes out. I know the wait is hard, but we have to stay strong my friends!

You know the big 100% combos with Raiden you see? Most of those are possible because of EX shoulder tackles allow him to get the extra damage off of them leading to whatever finish you want. Yeah Dk, A, DK, NM is about 95% which is still some real shit but he has to blow some big resources for that, with just one Shoulder tackle Raiden gets that big KO. Laban has a big writeup about it in the XIII thread on SRK. And for real I'm getting annoyed with how soft shit is on here, far to many people spewing dumb stuff and not getting slapped down and getting their hands held instead.

Hey man, I get where you are coming from. It can be annoying when people say stupid things. However, just because someone says something that you think is stupid it does not mean that it is stupid, nor does it mean the person who said it is stupid. All you accomplish by tossing around insults is getting people pissed off. The poster you are trying to correct will be so focused on the insults thrown at them that they won't listen to anything you have to say. And what does that accomplish?

I personally love how friendly this site is. There are way too many cowards on the internet that toss around hateful words that they would never have the balls to say to anyone in person. So it's nice to have a place that is more or less free of that.

I'm hearing RUMORS, too:

[spoiler]-Six extra characters: 95 Rival Team [Billy, Iori 95 (no 98), Eiji] + Kyo 98 (still Hero Team), Saiki (¿alone?), someone else (¿Botan?+Saiki and Ash = Ash team?)
-Some changes for 2 teams in Story mode[/spoiler]

of course, are only rumors, and not sure from where are coming

Wow! For a rumor that reveals 6 characters I find it to be quite an unexciting one. I doubt this one is true anyway.

I'll have to disagree with the team being the 97 team, as even though they've been going classic, I still see them sticking with the 2003 iteration (Billy, Yamazaki, Gato). I also see a XI team of Oswald/Malin/Adelhied coming to fruition as well or Oswald and Adel joining Ash for an official Ash team of some sort. Wishful thinking at my end but i feel that 2003 and XI have been under-represented, especially Adel which has an unfinished story arc.

I'll concede the possibility of the 2003 version of the team. At least that has some logical sense to it. But I'm still putting my money on the '97 team. Although I also fear there is a strong possibility Billy won't be getting any teammates at all.

So after a lot of consideration I have decided that I want to compete in this side tournament. I realize I have not had much experience at this game, but I feel I should try my hand at it anyway. Also, if having more players will help generate hype for this event, then that is all the more reason I should compete as well.

All I need to know is what I need to do to sign up?
