Yo, I'm from the KC, mo area and am curious how the scene in chicago is. I'd like to think we have some pretty good players in our area but am curious about the overall kof midwest scene.

I'm doing okay with hwa so far because his normals are beast. but i'm still finding it hard to get in with him sometimes. I know his drunk mode is good for increased damage, but is there anything that's great about it, like does he get more invincible? because i've gotten drunk and did light dragon tails but am still able to get thrown out of them and tryin to do them air to air against like a k' CD or even a jump in light from anybody seems to fail miserably.

Also if there is a good link to a hwa video let me know. I saw a pretty good hwa bein played from some guy (not sure of his name due to asian writing) against tokido. It's on sparkster's twitch account  I believe. He also has a pretty good series about how to play in general. i'm sure you can get the link if you follow him on twitter.

Does anybody know how to do a 100 percent combo with hwa? Idk it seems like he did more damage the other day with his hd corner combo, i was able to get a 97 percent corner combo while drunk, but now i'm barely able to get 88 percent while drunk. Even without him drunk with maximum hits in his corner combo with his heavy dragon tail i'm still barely able to get out 83 percent damage.

If you're in the Kansas City Missouri, or Kansas Area. There are weekly hookups goin on on Tuesdays (occasionally). Thursdays (Almost every week) and Friday (almost every week). If you're interested in joining the scene to play some kof  come on out. and If you want more info on said hookups just reply.  We also tend to play a lot of marvel, street fighter, and there are also a few blazblue, tekken heads as well.

Some good info: If you're using iori as battery and have a full 3 meters/drive meter and you're lookin for hd confirmation to do about 82 percent damage.

Start whatever jump in  st.  ;c into forw.  ;a or (cr. ;b, st. ;a, forw.  ;a)hd cancel dash, st.  ;c, dp.  ;c, hcb  ;d, dp.  ;c, hcb  ;d, dp.  ;c into Yaotome, hd cancel into neo max. takes a little time to get used to but i find it one of the easier high damage hd combos he has.

Also if you're dealing with a terry player who loves to spam that crackshoot block string. after crackshoot ex command grab and reap benefits all day.

Thanks for the help so far guys, I've been havin trouble startin out but my takuma has gotten significantly better. Got 2nd at the Final Round qualilfier, so keep the info/videos comin if you got em!

Does anybody know how to punish kyo's double kick pressure he uses, for some reason i can't punish it with anything.

You can even roll through in-between those kicks (if its not EX). Experiment with it in training mode, just set the dummy to record to spam those kicks and see what moves for your characters can go in between and what can't. Try it.

I actually did do that and figured out, that roberts dp, both light and heavy can break kyos double kick pressure after the first kick hits.
