Maybe I should say safe block strings. The only think I think Shen can get away with is something like cl.C F.B QCF C(feint) and immediately into something else.

I'd say that sums him up pretty nicely. High risk high reward character. You could also add that he has a lot of trouble opening people up and that he has hardly any safe pressure.

Hi, ive been wanting to ask this for awhile.

What do you guys think of using (j.D) cr.B, cr.A, cr.C, qcb~hcf+AC  [422/465 dmg] ? I never heard of or seen anyone else use it, so I wonder if im heading in the wrong direction.

I use this combo quite a bit actually. I think it's very helpful as it gives you a very damaging option if you have no drive to spare.

I found a pretty good combo with Terry. If your close to the corner. J.D cl.D-f.A(HD)cl.D-f.A-A Burn Knuckle(HD cancel) EX power geyser-C Rising Tackle(HD cancel)C Burn knuckle(HD cancel) D Crack Shoot-C Rising tackle(HD cancel) C Burn knuckle(HD cancel) D Crack Shoot- EX Rising Tackle.
It does 812 from the aforementioned starter, and does 742 if started from the cr.BAC chain. Pretty good damage and well worth the meter if you ask me.

What do you mean by ? :

OH and ex demon flip always lands in front, not in back. So that is not a good option when atempting to give them a 50/50

I talking about the fact he throw on Ex demon flip will catch your opponent after a cd hit anywhere on screen. So if you weren't in a situation where the normal one won't catch them its worthing it imo.
Sorry wasn't clear, it's pissing me off to shoot twits and let lose this in the constant flood of information.

If you mean the dive kick version of the Ex demon flip it's near true, you may hit them in cross up but it requires specific setups or big tall characters.
Anyway I'm using it more like an instant overhead since it hits high contrary to normal one. Plus Yuri legs are invincible in the startup so it may throw you up of low pressing or punish duo lon f.B.

Ex Demon flip into Dive kick is an overhead. So I think that would really scare people who are trained to crouch block the dive kick.

I can do it in HD mode no problem. But I'm having a lot of trouble doing that normally. But that works?

Are there any tips as to how you can drive cancel Ryo's fireball off of his DP? From what I've seen it looks like the cornerstone of if high damage corner juggles.

Sadly I'm out in Nevada, where there's no real local fighting scene, just EVO once a year. And I doubt my car could handle the summer trips from Vegas to LA and back again just to practice. And I keep odd hours as far as online goes, on top of being a complete n00b at the time of posting.

This may not be thread appropriate but Vegas actually has a decent scene for KoF with a few really strong players.

A lot of it was lack of preparation on my part. I was too afraid to anti air because I didn't want my anti air to whiff or eat a CD trade. I was trying to bait a jump with Terry's EX power wave so I could anti air with burn knuckle(A setup I saw from the STA ranbats) but that proved to be gimmicky. Like I said I had just picked up Ex Kyo, so I wasn't too familiar with his toolset. Fernando is my primary training partner so he knew what my weakness's were from the get go. As for Prinny, I just choked pretty hard. But all in all thanks the the pointers, guys.

Recent footage of me in a local tournament. I'm playing King/Kyo/Terry in that order. A couple of factors played into how I did though. One I had just picked up Ex Kyo, and two, this is the first time I had ever made it this high into the brackets(winners and losers finals respectively) so I got incredibly nervous and jittery. But feel free to pick it apart. Any criticism is beneficial.

Sorry.
Lol no worries. As long as it gets out there and people can see it.

I've been lurking the character forums for awhile but I figured what the hell, might as well introduce myself right? Not much to say other than Zeromurasame is the name I lurk the internet with and KoF 13 is the first KoF game that I'm seriously learning. So nice to meet everyone and hope I learn a lot here.

I never said it was a 0/1/2 combo. However the QCB.AC is the only meter that you're required to spend. You can choose to end the combo with the meter-less ender and only end up spending one bar.

Here's an HD combo that I really enjoy using.
cl.C(HD)cl.C-qcb.AC-dp.D~P-dp.A(HDC)qcb.C-qcf.C-dp.C(HDC)qcb.C-qcf.C-dp.C(HDC)qcf.C-dp.C(HDC)qcf.C-ender

This can be started from the cr.b-cl.C link, cr.b, cr.b, st.b delay the HD activate for the instant cl.C, off of a far.C poke, you name it. The only catch is that this has to be done from mid-screen or closer to the corner you are pushing your opponent into. If you're further away you're gonna have to do the dp.a-dp.d~p corner carry.

Since the QCF.C(heavy Ko'ouken) leaves the opponent in a free juggle state how you choose to end the combo really depends on how much meter you have, or are willing to spend. Here are some options as to what you can do, accompanied by a damage estimate.

Meter-less ender:
cl.C/D dp.D air throw(early 700)

1 Meter ender:
hcb.BD(757),
qcfhcb.K(775)

2 Meter ender:
qcfhcb.BD(847)

I really like this combo because it's big damage for a relatively cheap investment. That investment being 1 stock and some positioning. If you have an opponent who likes to press buttons you can potentially kill them for pushing a button, thanks to the cr.B-cl.C link that also functions as a frame trap. A nice alternative if you can't land the butt loop.

Everything there seems to check out. A couple of things I would probably add though are her cr.B Cl.C frametrap being really good for pressure, and the ability to confirm into her demon flip air throw off of a st.B. If you decide to poke with her j.CD you can demon flip air throw the opponent in they are in the corner. Or if you're anywhere else on screen you can spend a meter for an EX demon flip airthrow. Just some things she can get a little extra damage off of an anti/air to air. Not to mention the airthrow OS if you're opponent is within close proximity in the air.
