Classic King of Fighters / Re: I love KOF XII
« on: May 07, 2011, 06:56:44 PM »
I think XII succeeded in what it set out to do gameplay wise. I didn't mind the smaller roster because "pro" tournament players would only pick the shoto-styled characters anyway. Robert, Andy, Joe, Kyo majority of the time. Why people beg for 40 characters in a fighting game when they only use 3 or 4 of them is beyond me especially when those 3 or 4 are the same that everyone uses 4 outta 5 times! lol

Yeah, it need .NET Framework 4 to run. Do a google search for it. You should be able to find a Microsoft link that takes you straight to in the search results.

Thanks Demond.

Might be up for that. Hopefully setting up Supercade won't be as difficult as with GGPO. But also till then, I'll be on ArcLive a lot with different SNK games. Hope the online players can still keep things up between SC and AL.

Supercade IS harder to setup than GGPO but it appears to use the same ROMS as GGPO. That's one less thing to worry about at least. From what I've seen so far on SC, the interface, community and features are so much more evolved than GGPO. It almost feels like being on PSN/XBL or something like that. As far a connectivity, SC has issues with input lag on Capcom games. KOF 95 (my all time fave KOF) ran pretty good. Still not quite like offline but then again...what IS when it comes to fighting games?

I've finally figured out how to get Supercade installed and working. I must say, it sure seems like the Supercade community and offerings are a lot more involved than that of GGPO.

GGPO apparently has an ace over Supercade...SF III:3S is actually playable on GGPO from what I been hearing from complaints about SC.

Anyway, I like the wider selection of games that SC supports and was hoping to find some KOF 95 opponents to test out SC for a few matches sometime.

Also would like to FINALLY learn to play some RB2 with someone because info and FAQS on the game is so scarce and very few people play it these days!

You down?

Good idea but we handled that a while back...just chillin now. Everyone that WAS gonna profess their love for 98/02 and their hatred of 12 because it was not like them, has probably changed their minds about it after all the drama from before. That ain't what we was on, we just wanted say "wassup...let's play!"

Anyway, sure you are more than welcome to play some 12 with us...hit anyone of us up on PSN! I just been goin H.A.M. on school lately.

There's a grappling character in this game called Street Fighter who had only 2 special moves in the beginning stages...Lariat and Spinning Piledriver. His name is Zangief. He eventually gained a couple of new moves over the span of time.

There's also a character in the Street Fighter series that still to this day has only two special moves since his inception (not including supers and command normals). His name is Guile.

I know it's off topic and kinda like beatin a dead horse but...then again......

That's because Guile is like Micheal Jackson.  He only knows two moves, but he's still one of the best.  HOO HOO!
