It still works. maybe you are timing the hyper hop a hair late? Also speaking of which, I saw a new fun one: https://twitter.com/SpiidiOnNoita/status/775675847256764416

Doubt I'd use it because I like the guaranteed damage better, but Vice does have some decent max options. Not as crazy as Mature's, but still pretty good.

Threw in some basic combos for Daimon. http://www.dreamcancel.com/wiki/index.php?title=Goro_Daimon_(XIV)
After checking out Zx-tole's post I see I'll need to include a longer light chain, but I'll have to do that later.

I'll be doing move descriptions soon, so as always input welcome.

Also if anyone knows any moves with special properties (besides dp+K having invuln), it'd help me if you'd let me know.

I use sanwas. I hear seimitsus are bad for double tapping, but it's mostly just pref.

I spend alot of time in training mode too for the same reason as Fluke. Just make sure you are in training mode that you spend some time visualizing what a opponent could/would do in a scenario. Also random block <3

cr.C to df+D has gotten really inconsistant too. What are the max combos people are using with him right now? My demo muscle memory on this character has gone to shit so I've been putting him. skipping the command normal seems to work, but are one of the other damage routes better?

Vice's mix up is pretty honest, all things considered, so you need to have good fundamentals to open people up. Since this is your first post, I'm wondering have to you checked out the Incomplete guide or the rule of 2 vid? All the same rules apply for vice, and it can take awhile to get used to. tl;dr though, if you are trying to reapproach, keep this chart in mind:

The secret with Vice though is you focus first on punishing them for being in the air, after which your run up gorefest, splash, and the sleeve start working for you. And if you really want to keep pressure going, end combos with sleeve > gorefest instead of mayhem. The hard knockdown it gives is safe jump-able and you can try to open them up with whatever you like. And if you do get pushed out, Vice is strong mid-range too. Most of her normals have about the same reach to them sans jab, so get comfortable with their max ranges, then get used to the range where st.CD, sleeve, A version splash and hyper hop will work. those are essentially the ranges where you are most effective.

First impressions die hard. The reveal models looked like garbage. Now the models look pretty decent, but you aren't gonna change that perception.

You see the psuedo shotos, Kyo, Iori, Terry, K', Robert, etc, and a few other popular characters, Nakoruru, King, Athena, Mai, Geese, Love. Everyone else is less frequent

You see good characters more than bad, and easy characters more than hard. Play and find out for yourself.

I spent the afternoon filling out Kim's dc wiki page. All i need is combos. I can get basic stuff up pretty quickly, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen any optimized stuff?

It's one of the toughest things you have to do mechanically tbh, and there aren't really any shortcuts for it. Also it's easier for some characters more than others. I'd set the dummy to random block and just practice the confirm into cl.C. It helps me to think of it in blocks: you have the cr.B cr.A hit confirm (for many characters, anyway), st.B max mode activation cl.C, then everything else. If you can grind the first two blocks to semi-consistency, the rest can be adapted into whatever you want out of the combo.

and yeah, when you are grinding don't forget to take frequent breaks to let it set it. Overloading will kill your wrists and make you forget things

Amazing. I tried playing him in locals yesterday evening. Surprisingly he's not as easy to pick up as I thought he was. Still loads of fun though.
