I'm probably not gonna make it... I'm sick with pneumonia right now. I feel better than I did for the past few days, but I don't want to get anybody else sick.

I hope KOF hasn't been dying because of me in school, lol.

Nah it's not your fault at all. The main problem in my opinion is how ridiculously saturated the fighting game genre is right now. There are way too many games out, which is good in a way and bad in a way. Good in a sense that nobody is going to struggle to find a game that they like. Bad because all games that aren't made by Capcom are going to eventually have obscure, underground scenes (pretty much what our KOF scene is already). It's just like what happened starting in the early 2000's, only worse because even more games are being pumped out faster than back then. I don't think KOF is going to die, but I think the chances of us bringing in any new players are slim to none.

You desmond, let me know when you wanna start hosting on weekends or when you're free. It be hard for me to make it out on tuesday all the time because of work, and since Kieth quit the game I haven't been having anyone to play KOF with... Which means I gotta play more Marvel, which means less KOF. :(

Hey we're down too man... The KOF hype seems to be dying down in MN, especially with all these new games coming out (P4A and TTT2 especially). We're down to come down to the cities and play KOF anytime. Or we can host as well, but it's like an hour of a drive from here to the twin cities... And we also play on Xbox.

No worries man. You gotta do what you gotta do. Got in some good P4A games with Keith and a few others.
Grublet and I are planning on going to GnG casuals today. Anyone else going?

I just saw this message, I think I'll show up more to casuals when TTT2 comes out. I play other fighters as well.

I do too. Mostly KOF13 and P4A at the moment, but I play UMVC3 and 3rd Strike also. I might try TT2 when it comes out, although when I tried VF5 and Soul Calibur 5 I learned that I am horrid at 3D fighters.

anyone got any tips vs. projectile chars?(ie takuma)

seems like i can't get in a safe way.

The best thing to do is wait it out and see if they get impatient in my opinion. Blocking fireballs builds you a ton of meter for negligible chip damage, and you gain significantly more meter than the person throwing the projectile. And if you have meter, all it takes is an anti-air to lead to big damage. As for Takuma's close fireball, you can sweep under it with Vice and cancel into her EX Decide for an anywhere juggle combo. If they insist on staying back and get really predictable with their fireball game, you can do the C version of Splash if you read a fireball coming, and cancel into her Overkill DM.

Yeah the tournament was fun. Had some really intense matches, and everyone seems to be leveling up their game more and more every time I go to GnG. I'd definitely like to go down to Chicago to play with you guys sometime also, once I save up a bit.

I know it is. I was simply telling LouisCipher how to break 800 damage with Billy's HD in a combo that's not overly difficult. The combo you posted is probably the most practical one if your opponent isn't cornered and is no more than half screen away from the corner though.

The HD combo i do with Billy does 852 damage for 2 bars, and it's not overly difficult (I wouldn't recommend trying it online, but offline it's not too bad). It's corner only of course.

Notation is j.C, cr.C, b.A, (HD activation) st.D, b.A, hcf.C, qcf.C, (make sure to bring the stick to neutral on this part, or you'll accidentally cancel into super) qcb.C, hcf.C-qcb.C x3, Neo Max. If you get stuck on any part of the combo let me know.

No I don't have the address yet. Tuesday works but I'd have to leave at about 8:30 because I will have to work at 11:00. For future reference the days I have off are Friday and Saturday unless I sign up for overtime.

This ain't much but it's a decent setup i found messing around in training. After landing an EX f.B on the ground you can do a hyper hop C, then start running as soon as you land. This creates an ambiguous cross-under mix up without having to do jump CD and blow another bar on EX f.A. On top of not spending extra meter, this setup seems a lot harder to react to. Honestly sometimes I don't even know which side I'm going to end up on. As far as spacing goes, the best distance for this setup to work seems to be at the max range of a ground f.A. , or about half screen away from your opponent. I plan on testing this at the next casuals I go to but so far it seems promising.

Yeah I'll have to google map the address because I don't know the St. Paul area very well. What day and time were you thinking?

Grublet and I will be there too. We got an eightarc so we won't have to borrow sticks either.
