So hype!  The game looks like a cool little combination of engine elements from KOF and GG, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Plus, I love Lovecraft, so I gotta be all over dat Cythlla *laughs*

Is there any dedicated forum/wiki for this game, like mizuumi? or are we left to fend for ourselves when this game drops? day one btw.

As far as I know, there's no dedicated site for it yet (at least not in english).  Mizuumi might pick it up, but they'll probably be more focused on MBAACC, Aquapazza, and Skullgirls (together with dustloop), at least in the short-term.

Btw, if people are curious about system mechanics, here's what was posted by umgogo on SRK (this is back from last july, so some of it might've changed):
Miscellaneous information

The Chaos Gauge (Super meter) can hold up to three stocks at any time.

A dizzy meter is present, as in Street Fighter 3 series and King of Fighters XI.

Before each battle, you must "select your bounce", i.e. choose between the Step (dash) and Run abilities. The Step can be cancelled into (attack -> Step), thereby eliminating some recovery time, while the Run can be cancelled from (Run -> attack or High Jump), allowing a character to move in on the opponent more easily.

Next, you are given your choice of two Extra moves out of a total of four. Each character has two Extra special moves and two Extra Ultimate Chaos moves (Level 1 Super moves) to choose from.

Movement/defensive system overview

Step/Run (selectable)
f, f (hold f to run)

Backdash
b, b

High Jump
db/d/df, ub/u/uf or run, ub/u/uf

High Jump cancel
Cancellable normal moves (but not special moves) and the Run may be cancelled into a high jump.

Air dash
f, f (in the air)

Double jump
ub/u/uf (in the air)

Roll
AB/f+AB/b+AB

Ground ukemi (recovery roll)
AB (when about to touch the ground)

Aerial ukemi (air recovery)
direction + AB when launched into the air

Tactical Guard
CD (requires half a stock of Chaos Gauge; can be done in the air)
If your character absorbs an attack, he/she will automatically counterattack.

Offensive system overview

A = weak punch
B = weak kick
C = strong punch
D = strong kick

Chaos Combo
Normal moves can be chained together as per this flowchart:

A -> B -> C -> D

Throw
AC

Throw escape
C (just before being thrown)

Counter Hit
A Counter Hit will yield longer hit stun than a normal hit, allowing additional attacks to connect. For example, a sweep cannot be followed up by anything on a normal hit, but can on a Counter Hit.

Guard Break Attack
f+CD (requires one stock of Chaos Gauge)
This move will break an opponent’s guard and can be cancelled into from normal moves.

EX special move
special move motion +AC/BD (requires half a stock of Chaos Gauge)
Not every special move has an EX version, and none of the Extra special moves does.

Ultimate Chaos/Extra Ultimate Chaos (Level 1 Super move)
motion + one button (requires one stock of Chaos Gauge)

Destruction Chaos (Level 3 Super move)
qcf, hcb/qcb, hcf+AC (requires three stocks of Chaos Gauge; cannot be done during Exceed Chaos)

Chaos Cancel (Super Cancel)
special move -> Ultimate Chaos (requires one extra stock of Chaos Gauge for a total of two stocks)

Chaos Shift
AB/f+AB during Ultimate Chaos (requires one extra stock of Chaos Gauge for a total of two stocks)
An Ultimate Chaos move can be cancelled into a special form of movement as an escape tactic or to allow for follow-up attacks.

Exceed Chaos
BC (requires three stocks of Chaos Gauge; can be cancelled into from normal and special moves)

Upon the activation of Exceed Chaos, the Chaos Gauge begins to drain until it reaches zero. EC carries several benefits:

1) The dizzy meter empties instantly

2) Gradual life recovery

3) All attacks become cancellable

4) All moves which use Chaos Gauge consume a portion of the timer, the amount corresponding to their normal gauge cost (allowing for otherwise impossible combos, such as special move -> Chaos Cancel into Ultimate Chaos -> Chaos Shift into normal move -> Ultimate Chaos or EX special move…)
And character info, also from umgogo on SRK (also from last july *laughs*):

I know ReXXXSoprano had a bunch of loketest videos on his site, but the latest I've seen is on FK's own youtube, where the game was a lot more refined (that was from like 3 months ago, though, so I'm not sure if there's anything newer on youtube...frankly, I've been too busy following the latest KOF news to pay much attention to anything else lately *laughs* ).  Definitely has some nice stuff in the systems.  I really like the sound of being able to tweak your moveset between matches, the differences between run and dash, and being able to spend meter on stuff like guard breaks, command counters, and post-super cancels.

Cthylla's stole my heart from the first I saw of her...not just the Lovecraft theme, but she also seems like the resident Testament, combining a strong zoning/trapping game with just enough rushdown to still be a threat in your face.  I think I'll end up taking Vein, Kagari, Rui, or Hermes for a secondary, though.

Very nice to see that Arc didn't pull out their support for FK.  There was a while when it was unclear if they were still on board with this or not, but having them backing it definitely makes it more likely to see an eventual console port.

Doublepost for arcade footage:

(there's a bunch move videos on that guy's youtube, this is just the first one I watched *laughs* )

Definitely liking what I saw of Cthylla there.  That Beast Cannon move (the starfish dash *laughs* ) looks pretty sweet, especially the juggle into her air super, and once players get better at using her zoning tools, she'll probably have a pretty solid keepaway game.  Curious what that floating staff super was for, but I guess the game is still new enough that people are doing random stuff with no real purpose *laughs* .  Wasn't as impressed with the Kagari or Vein play, but again, pretty new game.

Also, I think I heard that the next step planned for this game was getting it ready for a home release (probably digital distribution), so we might not have to wait long at all to get at this game outside of Japan, especially if t comes up on PSN.

Finally some Arcade footage, for some reason I thought the game wasn't out yet.

Anyways, I really like Vein, he looks cool, hopefully they release this on the US too.

I thought Vein must have either been poorly represented or actually be kind of stale. He seems good ofc, but the most impressive part shown was that he dashed out of a corner, through his opponent. Otherwise it was basically jump in into what i assume the be rekkas. I thought Cthylla and Kagari seemed more entertaining as they did seem to have a wider gameplan (probably down to the players) although Kagari did seem to degenerate into jumping shurikens sometimes.

Just like with MvC 3 when it came out, i guess i have to try it.

Some direct feed video (graphics look kind of overexposed, sadly, but the audio in this game is too hype for commentary):

Some play of Kagari, Celia, Cthylla, and Hermes.  The second Cthylla mirror (4th match overall) shows some nice bullshit crossups with the second hit of her starfish dash (like Wolfman's hard-to-blockables with normal beast cannon), and a pretty stylish Exceed combo around 14:50 (shame it only did around 50%).

Edit: First in another series of direct feed videos, with clear graphics this time:

Yeah, I'd prefer disc release as well, but I'm guessing PSN release is more likely, since that's cheaper for a small company to do.  Then again, it could end up with a situation with AH3, where it's on disc for Europe and Japan but PSN for North America *laughs* .  In any case, the hot word seems to be that FK wants to get a home release out relatively quickly, so hopefully we'll be hearing something about a console port before too long.

I think that video is actually the same as the second one in my previous post  ;) .  No harm, no foul, though.

Cthylla's definitely looking like a strong character.  Her double starfish into air super seems to be one of the more powerful combos at this stage in play, her delayed projectiles take up a good bit of space, the reef super is pretty fast for an almost fullscreen ground projectile, and the goat super looks like a decent reversal that works great for shifting out of since it does all of its damage quickly (so saves time in Exceed combos).  Just wish people would open her combos with something other than a throw.

Wish there was more good Rui footage.  I've barely seen any of her.

The rest of the Kichijoji videos from Aug. 20 have some more Bravo and Hermes, and a fancy Cerberus:

Ah, didn't realize.  If you can find the 3rd part video on Nico, it has a Bravo player pulling off a nice Exceed combo against a Cthylla.  Tried searching myself, but I'm only seeing the ones from Aug. 14 for some reason.
