I am going to check on Chinatown Fair, today. I live in New York City, so if there's any news, I'll report it back here.

May want to call this arcade about that. I hear it just may be an older KOF (probably XII) there.

Good to see another place get the game. Whoever goes out there have some fun with it. Still waiting on Chinatown Fair to get the game. Really hoping they get it soon. I know me and a lot of others are eagerly awaiting.

I went to the Schaumburg Gameworks today, but there were no KOF13 cabs.
They only have 2 KOF12 cabs.

To be honest, that Gameworks is not the kind of place to get the latest fighting games.
For the past 8 years, they've been neglecting fighting games in favor of other arcade machines.

I've removed them from the list. I guess their employees don't have a clue or don't even care about answering questions honestly.

I'd say that they can't read roman numerals.

Funny, that's the exact impression I got when I called.

Thats exactly what happened to me, when I called the Gameworks in Seattle.

"hey do you guys have the new King of Fighters game?"
"yup"
"Really? 13, not 12, just released in Japan"
"yeah we have it"

They only had two XII cabs.

Does anyone know if we can use the KOF12 cab and just install the KOf13 software? I'm assuming they both are running on the same hardware unless there was a change.

I'd imagine if this is possible it can save some people tons of money compared to buying the entire unit.

Yes all you need is the KOF XIII Rom if you already have a taito type x2 board. I think they sell the upgrade kits right now too.
