KOFXIII console tournament standard
« on: November 02, 2011, 07:47:58 PM »
As I was looking at the player listings in the KOFXIII, I noticed that our community seems to be slightly more PS3 rather than 360. Which system should be the tournament standard?

Personally, I'd do the 360...because that's the system I own and it would save me time having to dual mod my stick (which I'll have to anyway for NEC if I end up going, which is seeming less likely by the day).

But just go with whichever is more convenient for TO's.

I use a PS2 Neo Geo stick and have converters for PS3 and 360, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Yeah, so long as you guys have 360/PS3 converters it doesn't matter. Hopefully there won't be input delay between the two versions.

I only have a 360. Is this poll aimed more at people who have both systems?

I'm working with a TO who is running a tournament which is using 360 for Capcom games and PS3 for Tekken 6 and some other games. He asked which console should XIII be run on.

PS3 because I could use the Sega Saturn controller (if I manage to fix it). Also because if not I can use the PS3 controller, which is better for fighters IMO.

Also, don't PS3/360 converters cause lag?

Not all of them. The InPin PS2-PS3 is great as is the Xtokki360.

Uh, why do they do that?  Only game that seems to have a preference on systems is MvC3 and I still wonder how legitimate that is.  Seems inefficient to run two systems.

SFIV is more arcade accurate on 360, so I think the goal is to provide the best experience for each game.

I personally own both consoles and have a dual-modded stick. But PS3 is going to be my main console.

I'd have to wait and see if there are any real differences between the two versions.

Tekken 6 runs pretty bad on the 360.

And I say wait till the game comes out till any decision are made, one version may be inferior.
