Yeah, not the first time PETA is pissing everybody off, last week they were complaining about Battlefield 3 and the rat scene in the game.

“Mario often takes the appearance of certain animals and objects in his games. These have included a frog, a penguin, a balloon and even a metallic version of himself. These lighthearted and whimsical transformations give Mario different abilities and make his games fun to play. The different forms that Mario takes make no statement beyond the games themselves.”

Seriously, Nintendo? You could have abused your power to erase those bastards out of existence and no one would have complained about it (if anything, everyone would have wanted you to do that). Instead, you play the nice guy...

I'm not sure if Paper Mario counts as an JRPG, but it's good to know that it got you into other RPGs.

Well given the similarities in the different gameplay mechanics,story development etc. I would consider it a JRPG.

Also i'm surprised that no one has mentioned the music from the series as it much like the games themselves have changed quite a bit over the years while still retaining the overall feel that previous games had.
