Minnesota KOF Thread
« on: May 03, 2012, 07:24:33 AM »
I live in Saint Paul.

My psn is DesmonDelaghetto.

I also play 98UM and 2002UM but I've been focusing mainly on XIII.

We play sometimes on Tuesday at Games N Go in Rosedale, Mn at 6pm until 8:30pm. We have around 8 to 10 players overall that I know of, but we are always looking for more.

Post up if you're interested in playing online or playing locally!

I'll try to head on down there sometime in the near future. I only own a 360 stick at the moment, so I'd have to borrow a stick if y'all play on PS3.

I have a 360 and PS3, while a few of the ps3 players have xbox convertors, so it's all good. Just let me know when!

Come out and play. Console doesn't matter we play on anything that runs KOF.

Just to let people know, on June 22nd (Friday) at 6pm we will be having our 3rd Games N Go KOFXIII tournament on PS3.

The tournament will be held at Games N Go in the Rosedale Mall, in Roseville, Minnesota.

Entry fee is $5 bucks.

The last tournament had a cash prize, so it may follow through for this upcoming tournament.

Tournament standard rules apply (2/3 matches, double elimination, winner/loser may switch order, loser can only switch characters, all characters allowed, DQ if you pause during a match, etc.).

Let's have fun.

Are you guys gonna be at Rosedale mall this tuesday? If so I'm planning on coming down to casuals for sure. Possibly the tournament as well if I'm not working.

Yeah, Caleb has pretty good fighting game fundamentals and patience...if he keeps up his practice he might be a serious threat against myself and Tones.

I've said this a few times to you, but I strongly think you should try to play online once in a while. We do online tournaments often around here, and you can find some good opponents with good connections (if you have good internet yourself). Even though it is a little laggy, it's good yomi/mindgame tactical practice, while you practice your execution in training mode. Tones even played online quite a bit when the game first dropped which is why he got good so fast. I think you should try out.

I'll look into some online play. I wish more people here were free 24/7 besides Keith. Practicing against the CPU only just isn't cutting it.

Had a lot of fun at KOF casuals today. I understand now why my brother doesn't like to fight my Kim. I never faced a strong one until today.

Yeah, casuals was great, it's good to see things growing KOF wise at GNG. Plus, we had two setups as well.

Good games to everyone I faced, especially to Grublet (Jamie), Josh and Kevin (Azula). Looks like I'm going to have to step my knowledge up against a few of your characters.

Grublet and I will be there too. We got an eightarc so we won't have to borrow sticks either.
