If you look at it correctly Efo didn't do better than you... He tied with you.

ah, i figured tie breakers were still tally'd up by who got to play more matches...efo played 1 more match while i was already knocked out

Yo, I'm from the KC, mo area and am curious how the scene in chicago is. I'd like to think we have some pretty good players in our area but am curious about the overall kof midwest scene.

I would have to say we have at least a consistent 15 players playing KOF here. More people picking it up as EVO has gone by. We have good players all over Illinois, from the city all the way to the suburbs. We try our best to make it all at one gathering at the same time, whether it's at ignite(city) or galloping ghost arcade(suburb).

EDIT: also I've played some of you guys from KC at UFGT8. I think Samson and his brother...? You guys are solid.

Yeah Samson is pretty damn good, we get in a lot of casuals. He stays pretty much down the street from me. I'm assuming you're talking about Le. (they're not brothers lol) but he's good but could be better, I'd say me and samson are on pretty even playing level. We both trade tournament wins at our locals here. I'd say we only have about 6-7 dedicated people around here for KOF and get about 11-15 at our monthlies if we're lucky.  But it's good to know that more people are startin to pick up the game. I plan on being at seasons beatins again this year whenever that gets announced. I heard through the grapevine that it won't be happening at MoMo2 this year so i'm curious where the venue will be at. If any of you guys are in the KC area I don't think any of our players would mind getting in a lotta games.

I think me, Mario, and other Chicago players are gonna make it to season's beatings. I heard MoMo's is closing July 25th. I've never been there and it sucks that I won't get to see the place ever, was really looking forward to it. I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Arkansas tournament. That weekend a friend of mine is coming back from out of town and were supposed to chill. I'll probably catch you KC guys At season's beatings if not an earlier tournament.

EDIT: I heard MoMo's had godlike chicken and bubble tea.

I'm planning on hitting up Season's Beatings, and I will hopefully bring some MN players with me. We are improving constantly, playing more, and gaining new players.

Too bad about MoMo's, I've heard many good things about it. :(
