For a while, many players have been concerned about upcoming support of King of Fighters XIV, but now with the past announcement of the new Saudi Arabian female character, it makes sense now that a version 3.0 will be released sometime in 2018! There aren’t any details on version 3.0 at the moment.
The joker in the poster is bringing speculation to many players wondering if it will be a different, NEW DLC character to be playable or announced, or if it will be just the Saudi Arabian Character.
So KOF14 3.0 gets announced with a Joker card as an accompanying graphic?

Lots of King of Fighters XIV players have been wondering if developmental support for the game was ending, but it seems that new DLC will be added to the game! A new female fighter from Saudi Arabia (with a complimented stage) will be joining the cast of characters sometime in the future. The fighter was designed from a social media contest winner for a possibly new fighting game title, but now the character has been chosen to join KOFXIV. The character’s stage will be included as DLC also.

For those interested in learning DLC character Vanessa, Coliflowerz has created a very informative tutorial video that outlines uses of all her normal moves, command moves, special moves and super special moves (include Climax)! This video also shows you some basic combos and tips that will help you learn how to play Vanessa!

For those interested in learning DLC character Whip, Coliflowerz has created a very simple tutorial that explains all of her moves in easy-to-follow detail & instruction! Very good for new Whip players & intermediate players who want to improve!
Whip is a little awkward to combo with, but she feels pretty good once you get it down. Make sure you learn to extend your rolls. Also she has a potentially pretty tricky cancel in hcf xx qcb~hcf; just practice that until you get it consistent. I know you can do it!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen our friend Persona Entertainment bring us some crazy King of Fighters XIV combo videos! Now that it is version 2.0, he has given us some combo concepts for Rock Howard!
Rock’s pretty balanced in terms of combo potential but the main factor that seperates his combos is whether you add in his command throw juggles or not considering they’re very difficult to pull off. If you’re able to pull them off, his combo potential increases dramatically. My main complaint regarding Rock’s combo potential is that he should have been able to continue a juggle after his qcb A. It would at least be more rewarding to brake his command throw if the opponent is flying towards the corner. If SNK were to take out Rock’s throw loops (please don’t, they’re difficult enough to pull off!), I would at least want SNK to compensate by adding more juggle potential to some of his specials.
The 4th and final DLC character has been announced for King of Fighters XIV, it is Geese’s son Rock Howard! He debuted in Garou: Mark of the Wolves back in 1999 and is finally set to cross over into the King of Fighters series proper. Producer Yasuyuki Oda has said many times that he’d like to revisit Garou as a series, perhaps this is his first step toward that. Check out the trailer:
