Hello from the Pothole

Hey gang, found this site about 7 months ago and was going to post but during the writeup I went and caught a mild case of Stage 4 Cancer.  Anyway I'm like 34 and been playing fighting games since SFII on the NES.  Back then I was nigh unbeatable with Chun Li by repeatedly jumping straight up and down and hitting Roundhouse.  Ah the good old days, eh.

Back then I dabbled with Fatal Fury but never really gave KoF a serious go until '97 on the Sega Saturn.  Nowadays I'm pretty meh about Street Fighter, as KoF is much closer to what I want in a 2D fighter.  I'd say it's probably my favourite out of the current roster of fighters.  (Virtua Fighter and Blazblue are tied for 2nd).

I'm currently living around eastern Ohio, right on the border with PA.  Xbox Live Gamertag is PurpGuy, but I hardly log on these days.  There's just way too much going on.  I'm hoping things will return to semi normal in time for the console release of XIII.  Super excited about that.

Until then, I'll be lurking around here somewhere.

Holy crap, I dunno how mild and stage 4 cancer can be in the same sentence but I bid you good health.  I guess you've gotten a natural fighting spirit in you!  Welcome to DC and we're glad you got around registering.

Welcome to Dream Cancel! Back in my SF2 days all i remember was that when Chun Li would go into her Spinning kick my bro gave me the solution "Down Fierce". In KOF terms Down C! Hopefully you'll gain friends on here and level up! As for your health concern Stay Up !

Thanks for the welcome!  I gotta try to get on Live more than I have been lately.  In XII my mains were Kim, Andy, and Leona.  In XIII, I'm keeping Leona, King has always been a longtime favourite of mine, but I'm not sure who will fill spot #1 on my new team.  Need someone who isn't so meter intensive.

Anyway, thought I'd share a little project of mine from last summer.  I took a Mad Catz Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Fight Stick SE and turned it into a Mad Catz King of Fighters XIII Arcade Fight Stick SE!  lol.  Here's the pics:

Here's a design I whipped up using Yuri, Duo Lon, and King, as per your signature.  Getting it to look good was kinda hard, since I wanted Yuri in the middle, but she's so short.  Luckily she is also jumping, so it doesn't look weird having her higher than the others.
