MK Finals: Awesome! A lot of diversity in character usage (moreso than the other games by far) and it was pretty hype. I'll have to pick up MK soon.

I despise Tekken so I'll skip it, it was mostly Bob mirrors.

MVC3 Finals: Shocked that JWong only made 3rd, to no one's surprise a Phoenix player made 1st. So-So.

SF AE Finals: Yun mirrors mostly, Poongko kicked ass and I loved the fact that a Viper took #1 and beat Daigo.

The 3S Exhibition was garbage.
Team: Billy, Clark, Hwa.

BBCS and MK had a very diverse set of characters in, only one Makoto and one Noel in BB which was cool. Gotta watch MK, any Ermac players get Top 8?

And yeah the exhibition sucked bad.

According to SRK, no Ermac among the top8.

I  need to watch this Spark final i've heard so much about.

I was hoping Wolfkrone or Latif would win it, but I was glad to see Latif got that close, beating Poongko and Daigo with a Viper. Wish he would've changed his tactics up against the last Fei-Long player.

Plus that, I'm glad the KOFXIII turnout was better than TheAnswer hoped for (50 instead of 32 I think). Can't wait to see the matches for that one, with all the console changes in effect.

Spark has always been hella solid wiht his defense but fuck he was goddamn wall in Top 8, not letting anyone get through after he got knocked into losers.

There was only 2 yuns in the finals

I love a lot of good evo moments before the finals. Sadly the audience couldn't bring the hype for Tekken. This is definitely one of my favorite EVO.

I liked how after Tekken finals and even more Tekken after that with Tekken Tag the crowd went nuts screaming Mortal Kombat!

The thing with this evo, is that this was the first time that the event was very well hyped imo, even if you are not a SF IV fan, you knew that lots of players from japan or other asian countries will come to play, mvc3 had tons of northamerican players, even though phoenix vs capcom 3 was at his finest this weekend, plus, the hype for KOF XIII even though was a minimal part of the event, helped to hook some players like myself

And the delivery was perfect, so kudos for evo, the balrog doc was awesome

That being said, all the shilling for madcatz and seth killian killed the event for me, when he said that fuudo, former VF player decided to change where the fun was, I wanted to throw my laptop of anger, I hope than one day the event would not be that much a capcom event, but well, otherwise, I had a great weekend!

It's true... VF definitely forces you to use yomi to the max, as well as know some frame data, and being aware of your options for each situation, among some other things. GG definitely has you knowing frame data, especially when it comes to FRC combos, and punishers... Both games do have matchups, but they don't matter as much, as any character can truly win if you put the time and effort in the character...
