I am really looking forward to hearing "Iori with the power of flames" on a live stream commentary lol.

Commentator1: "it looks like THE ANSWER just switch to Iori with the power of flames"
Commentator2: "Yes, Iori with the power of flames is a new character so I'm wondering how he'll do this time around"
Commentaror1: "right, we haven't seen too much Iori with the power of flames throughout the tournament so this should be interesting"

lol... or something like that.

And that's exactly why that should be his name!

Tag7191: They say "Lori" because they're joking about the "I" in his name being a lowercase "L". l know, l know, it's pretty Iame. (As was that joke there ^_^)

Since it was brought up... I can't think of ever persoanlly calling a character in KoF "EX ____". Always called the Orochi-infused forms "Orochi____", the ones from specific games "Real Bout ____" or "Classic _____", and good ole bonus Geese  "Nightmare Geese".

Other completly non-serious suggestions: "Violet Iori" "Lilac Iori" "Iori who'd gonna die in a few years because he took his powers back", "Hot Iori", "Iori who got his moves back from Ash", "Ash's leftovers Iori", "Still Not Classic Kyo", "Ken", "Satsui No Hadou Iori", and "Flamey".

I was thinking, what should we name the DLC Iori from the upcoming console version? I've heard people referring to him with all sorts of names such as "98' Iori" "Classic Iori' "Flame Iori" "EX Iori" etc.

I think we should agree on a single name so we all know who we are talking about, I personally like EX Iori.

What do you guys think?

EX Iori is the best choice, because his name is written in red in the game, like EX Kensou, EX Takuma, EX Robert, and he is an EXtra version of Iori.

His official name in the game is not IORI but IORI. ^^

The only problem I see with EX Iori is that they use EX "Character Name" when it's the same character design but different moveset.

In this case both Iori's have different outfits and different movesets, so calling one Iori and the other one Flame Iori or Iori 02 makes more sense to me.

A very trivial discussion but I'll jump in anyways.

Ex Iori seems the most logical in terms of classification sake.  

'98 Iori is somewhat misleading as he has moves from newer iterations like his qcfx2+P DM-Follow up and his NM and to add to the confusion is the '95 Iori OG stage that really makes you scratch your brain (not that I don't love that stage, it's freaking awesome looking).

Ever since Kyo Kusanagi Classic in MI2/2006, I've preferred classic. Either way, in the context of XIII, people are going to know which Iori you are talking about when you use EX, or Classic. EX just doesn't jell with me though.
