A new thread for a new year.

Hopefully those talking about the V-1 tournament don't mind continuing the conversation here.

This is probably the best time to ask a few things I've wanted to:

If you're looking for gatherings, tournaments, or streams for KOF, do you check out the resources on DC? The calendars (forum and frontpage) for example.

And made a list for new years resolutions/attempts of things I want to do this year for KOF, and I hope others contribute to:

-KOF-exclusive casts
-KOF-exclusive stream
-KOF XIII character-specific vids
-Online gatherings (yeah, it's not optimal like I want it to be, but it's not terrible for everyone, and it's all some have)
-More KOF information in wikis and forums
-More discussion about the game in-general (gameplay) on forums instead of complaining about it and only using it for comparison to shit on or prop up other games.

Even if it's just playing KOF more often or going to EVO, anyone else have a KOF resolution for themselves for 2013?

just to say I don't look at the calendars much.  I'm sure they are useful for some or many though

Hey guys, I'm back after all this months since I was studying on the college, and approved all the subjects

I'm glad to announce that the biggest chilean tournament VGM TEC, is now an official road to evo tournament, so the first 3 places will had seeding points for the event, plus the winner of each tournament will travel to EVO

The 3 games that will be played are SF IV, UMVC3 and KOF XIII

The event will be played the days 26 and 27 of January

I hope to better myself with Ash this year while practicing for EVO and the qualifier tournaments.

Hey Mikel do you have anymore footage from the KCE Cup? There's a number of matches missing.

No seriously. My New Years resolution as of now is to help with tutorials, both character specific and fundamentals. I'm also going to see if I actually start my own KOFXIII events where I live, rather than just simply going to tournaments or playing casually at some coffee shop. Later on, I also intend on getting some competition started on GGPO KOF98 (and hopefully 02UM) - I just got it downloaded and I am just waiting for the chance to fight now. There's a lot of work to do. Let us continue

I wish to finally play offline for the first time...

I trained so hard last year trying to get better, even seeking out a mentor to help me up my game. Nowadays Im always losing my drive. Never training enough.

Aside from that just things I think are unrealistic.

I wish Roseville Golfland could become a place to play KoF (seems people play at Milpitas Golfland), but I just dont see it ever happening. I wish for the NorCal FGC in general to grow. I feel like so much of NorCal is alienated from the "NorCal FGC". Im in the bottom half of NorCal, yet im still too far up north to be a part of the of community. On the other hand, I feel like if I wasnt the only one, things would have already changed. There just doesnt seem to be any fighting game players outside the very south end of NorCal. How could one person change things alone?

that's rough dude. I could have sworn there was a fledgling scene in Sacramento, though.

Kinda nice. Kinda.

And found an OCRemix for the NESTS Kyo theme - http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02581/

It's pretty good.

Trying to spread the KOF gospel in Oki, seem to have a few people interested.

OTOH, the liberty policy and other factors make get-togethers tough.

KOF XIII, KOF 02 UM, KOF 98 UM, and Ikari Warriors got leaked into the steam database. I don't know if the game is planning to get a steam pc release.

For the record, the majority of games that have been leaked liked this usually ended up on steam. Very few exceptions such as the final fantasy games and a few games that ended up getting canceled. A few others took a very long time to show up but did eventually.

So this is a very good chance these games would come out. I am not going to get my hopes up for good netcode like everyone else is tho.

Yeti!!!! You beat me to it bro!!!!!!!

That is good news. What I was hoping for is close to being real.

Atlast!!! It seems; I dont want to jump the gun. Not just yet.
