IIRC, they were for the GBA. Also, weren't they just basically handheld versions of KOF99 and KOF2000 but with an extra character that never saw anything else KOF related besides these two handheld games?

EX2 is a great game and is probably the KoF I've played the most due to its portable nature. It's best if you have a GBA Player for Gamecube and a PS2>Gamecube adapter.

The 3 characters designed from the game were cool, but I thing that those are properties of sammy

It will be cool if one day they appear in another SNKP randomly

I played those games in an emulator, but still i liked them.

I hope some of the original characters of those games make it to the main KOF series, at least they were better than the MI originals in my opinion. Sadly it probably won't happen.

sibarraz

Fight Fever characters were better designs than the MI ones

I don't know WTF was falcoon smoking when he went with them

EX2 was the better version, but Leona as an assist almost breaks the game... Ralf/Leona, and Takuma/Leona definitely made some interesting relaunch combos...

I do wish those characters came to a console KOF. That chick with the feathers (lol) though seemed like a knockoff Kula...

i played nettou kof 96 on one of those hacked cartridges. it's a pretty good game, to be honest. most people overlook it, but it had some cool combos. you could also unlock mr. karate, orochi iori and orochi leona by spamming select at the TAKARA logo screen lol.

i totally forgot that o.leona had storm bringer and this weird moon slasher DM. it is also the only KOF game where i actually like playing chizuru. it also had this slo-mo feature where if youpause the game and rapidly press select, it would progress the game frame by frame. speaking of which, i'm going to charge my GBA and play the game while i work on the wiki lol

the NGPC KOF games were also pretty darn good. i remember they even had this weird story mode thing where you could go though it and unlock moves from the character cast and you could give any character random moves of your choice.

I will not hold my breath with seeing ex characters anytime in the future, I read somewhere that those characters were property of Sammy, but, I don't know really

Could someone tell me which of these is better to play the KOF GBA games (and fighting games on the GBA in general)?

Original GBA, SP, Micro, or DS?

Kensou77

R2 was awesome!!

love my SP enhanced Athena. so good!

against PC, i had a "kill by 3-4 seconds"

never got to play vs human.....

I find the Micro D-pad to be the best for fighting games. The D-pad is a bit looser and there's a grip for it that gives it handles like the PS2 pad.

Any KOF (or SNK) fighter on NGP/C was so friggin good. Need to re-invest in those when I can.
