Just found out I might be able to get off work early!! Yah lets get everyone over from other fighting games permanently into KOF. Theres so many SFIV players everytime I pass by SJSU arcade I see so many groups of players crowded around the SF cabinets and I just tell myself if only they were into KOF

So, not just Orange Sauce Casuals that you guys have to think about. Milpitas Golfland is looking to do more with KoF XIII. Also, because of the cut in the cost for wristbands, venue fee is now $5 dollars! So, tournaments will be 10 dollars total, a much better price than 13.

It will start next Friday. I know that's really colliding with the event planned at Game Center (I believe they're both on the 16th), but if you can't make it to GC, PLEASE support the tournament going on at Milpitas Golfland. Show your support for the game and for arcades.

next Friday is a 15th, no? I can probably make it to that. The 16th is just kind of a birthday session for me that turned into a GC gathering. I mean AFAIK, no one's made anything official. I guess if people are going to be free, hey come out and play some KoF with us and kick it in San Mateo.

I checked the calender again and you're right. I'm gonna make both.

Reiki.Kito

Don't really like double-posting, but this is also important.

The first season of the Bay Area Fight Night series goes up on the 22nd of February (A Friday and as far as I know, does not overlap with any other tournaments). Winners of the ranbat series get their EVO registration paid for. This is a good opportunity to show KoF is something serious to all of us. Since it's Friday, I can probably make this. If you're coming from South Bay or East Bay, this is an easy trip on the Bart from Fremont or Richmond (It's at the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment M.A.D.E)

Get in on this while you can and just show support for the community organizers.

How many people are playing in San Jose now? Beside DC Lam aka D-Clam the STD and NTR|Fatacon

I don't know what it is but I think historically players from the south bay regardless of the scene like to keep it on the down-low. I could probably put together a list of all the KoF players from around here to put it into perspective.

gotta say, that was pretty hype and it'll just get better over time. Shout outs to Nick, Kevin, Mike, Paul, and that one Marvel guy who was super down with KoF. Next time we gotta make sure that CvS2 is right next to us. SOUTH BAY COME OUT TO THIS!

Glad it turned out well. So, just a reminder for everyone the event calender for February in Norcal. We have a LOT of events going on, atleast something every week.

Calender List:
February 10th - Lost in Space - Starbase Arcade, San Rafael
February 13th - Orange Sauce Casuals - La Victoria's, San Jose
February 15th - MGL Versus Fridays - Milpitas Golfland, Milpitas
February 16th - Gathering at Game Center - Gamecenter Arcade, San Mateo
February 20th - Orange Sauce Casuals - La Victoria's, San Jose
February 22nd - Bay Area Fight Night Ranbats - The M.A.D.E, Oakland
February 27th - Orange Sauce Casuals - La Victoria's, San Jose
*Same week as last week of February*
March 1st - MGL Versus Fridays - Milpitas Golfland, Milpitas

March 23rd - Super Norcal Install - GameCenter Arcade, San Mateo

So technically, we have atleast 1 casual event and 1 tournament for the next 3 weeks in February. That's a lot of opportunities to get training and practice, ladies and gentlemen.

EDIT: Okay, so apparently Super NCI is next month and so NCI is not the first saturday of the month, but the 2nd to last saturday.

Reiki.Kito

Just a reminder, MGL Versus Fridays starts this week with KOF XIII. If you live close to Milpitas or have the means to go, you should show up. It's a biweekly tournament.

selfReg

will prolly make it to that. BTW, what are the XIII setups like at Game Center?
KOFXIII: N-Robert, Ryo, R2 Takuma

Reiki.Kito

Gamecenter has a lot of console to cab setups. So basically, if you have enough PS3 copies of the game, all 7 of them could be KoF. Only one, as far as I know, has DLC for KoF XIII.
