How does cancelling affect the frame data of specials? For example, Shun ei's QCB A is -5 on block, if crouch A is plus 2 does QCB A come out 2 frames ahead?

I had iori recorded using CL C and Shun's CR B, CR A, QCB A string seemed to beat it every time. Iori's CL C is 4 frames, pretty quick.

This might not be a matter of canceling as it is a matter of distance. The animation of a special move may happen immediately or at a specific distance from the opponent. Some moves are static, they happen no matter how far away they are from the opponent. That also means that if you hit with a move at its last active frames, it has the same amount of block/hitstun as it did with the same amount of recovery.

This makes the move more positive or safe. A good example is Terry's Burn Knuckle, which can be spaced farther away. Another great example is Andy's Zaineken. It is -5 on hit, but at max distance (after 2~3 d.Bs), it becomes -4.

The properties change depending on how far away you perform Shun's qcb A. Combos and strings it comes out immediately so wouldn't that be the first active frame?
