That's official art from KOF Neo Wave.

Awesome stick design.

Looks good, nilcam. Maybe interchange the rims of the buttons to white ones to match the dustwasher? Heh, makes me want to mod my TE again.

These buttons are not available in white, otherwise I would have done that. The case is so shallow that only the really small Seimitsu buttons (PS15) fit. I have a black washer on the way but I like the white so I may keep it. It ties the design together nicely. Considering the placement of the 5th button, Kensou's pose was too perfect.

I bet that that Kensou is from Neowave. It has the most horrible artstyle ever in a KOF game. Only 2001 rivals that game.

Ahh, PS-15's. I've never had the chance to use any of those in my mods. How do you like them? Do they feel the same as PS-14's? The only difference being that their bodies are shorter, correct?

Just to shows that art is subjective, I love the 2001 art style and the Neowave is pretty good as well. In certain cases, specifically Vanessa, I prefer her 2001 look to her XI look.

As for PS-15s, I love them. They feel like all of the other Seimitsu buttons.

I used Cherry microswitches on the stick but I need to figure out how to tighten the stick. It feels too Sanwa and I prefer the slightly tighter Seimitsu feel.

Aren't PS-15's Seimitsu? I believe the Sanwa equivalents to the PS lineup are the OBSF-30's (though more like the 14's, and not 15's, in height).

As for the stick tightening, what kind of stick is it, and have you tried replacing the spring? They usually sell stiffer springs separately or you could grab one from another type of stick. I, too, prefer the tighter Seimitsu feel.

Have you ever had any experience with optical sticks? I've been meaning to try one out, but I hear they go kinda wonky after a while.

They are Seimitsu. I shouldn't type before breakfast.

I'm using the stock Hori stick because the case is too short to accommodate other sticks. I replaced the Hori switches with Cherry microswitches.

I have no experience with optical sticks.

Btw, did you ever get that wireless stick fixed?

Yup it's temporary fixed, one the plates for the charging terminal came loose.

Finally finished my second KOF TE stick. This one's a RJ-45 Multi Console Cthulhu joystick with a Kusanagi clan crest dust washer.

I completely agree. The 2001 art is perhaps my favorite.

The one on the bottom is the HRAP VLX Premium...I want it real bad, and I want to mod it asap. Notice how much bigger it is too.

nilcam

The VLX will give you a hernia, true story. One of the local guys has it.

I have a new stick project started. I won't have the PCB in until the end of the month, but I'm super excited. I'll post photos as soon as it's done.
