Question to people that actually have the game, do you actually feel this way?

talk about taking things out of context, you read the rest of the discusion or just this sentence. it was about certain individual/s talking about how nm's would be overpowered if they had the same specs as ex dm's (instant 0 frames, invincible). i was merely explaining that compared to nm's exdm's are actually more overpowered, because they actually do come out at 0 frames and are invincible. not to mention they only cost 2 super bars and no dc bar at all.

last time im explaining shit 5 times btw, if things are written down so clearly that other posters (ash) do understand and can have a normal discussion about it (in fact know exactly wtf i mean), i think its time to question ones own reading comprehension. read through an entire discussion if you think you didnt quit get it instead of taking things out of context by highlighting 1 sentence from a discussion.

for those who still dont understand, no, exdm's ARE NOT OVERPOWERED.

edit: dope 1 vids, too bad you didnt do more than 1 combo with most. what i did like was seeing dc combos as well as hd combos, which is always a big plus in my book.

How would you guys rate Beni btw? He seems really solid to me overall but doesn't seem to be getting used very often.

That's a real 0 frame. I remember seeing it hit where the opponent is about to touch the ground, where Iori's would miss. If a Neomax is faster than Iori's then yeah, it's that good.

I know your question is for those who play the game... But I seen Beni in several videos. I think he is a very solid character, the same as Kim, Leona, Yuri, Takuma, Mature, Ryo, Athena, etc. but in this game all these characters are always eclipsed by K', Kula, Liz, Kyo, Iori and Raiden in tournaments (you can add Andy, Duo, Robert and Shen to this list, but no more).

Yes, I do have more vids, but I didn't have much time to cut and upload everything since I got home at like 10:40pm last night and only had a couple hours to sort through everything. I also had to recompress the vids, cut them, and do a quality check.

I do have more coming, but not a whole lot. I would say maybe 4 or 5 more vids which I will upload tonight onto Kane317's account. I also have a horribly played first to five with The Answer where I do almost every combo I tried cause I was excited we finally got the capture working hahah.

I played him initially when the game came out, and still throw in on my team now and then. The main problem with him is that his damage is incredibly low. I think a standard j.D, d.B, d.B, qcf+K, d~u+K combo does like 20% where as other characters will do 25%. Even his DC combos are like mid 30% range where other characters are 45-55%.

His pokes have gotten a little worse this year like his s.B and s.C.

Other than that he's great, with command grab, cross ups, good EX's. I'd still rank him sub mid tier though mainly because of pokes and overall damage.

I think all our Ft5s were "tainted", playing crappier than usual since we were being recorded lol.

I wanted to thank you and The Answer publicly for going through EVERYTHING to get this to work, I personally know how long it takes to bring and setup the equipment, view&edit videos, tag them, upload them and all the behind-the-scenes stuff that ppl take for granted, just to help the community--so thanks guys!  

As for the recorded combos, those were kinda just done on-the-fly just to test stuff out and eventually replace our old camera ones that I recorded back in AI.

i think beni might be able to do some good damage in the corner though for only 1 dc bar, more if you got superbars. when cancelled at a high point you can do quite some air raijinkens, like after that dp chain move or dp cancelled into air raijin, then jump and keep doing rajins into something. dont know how many air raijins you can actually do but the damage should be good for a combo that hardly uses any bars. dont know if anybody tested this or wants to try it.

also when your not in the corner cant he do some good dame for only 1 dc or super bar? like his normal combo, chaincomboender into dp, cancel that dp into air raijin, juggle with knee chain into dp again.

also does his lightning shower move work well as a dc cancel? like creat some good juggle setups?

The normal corner juggle with no super is only 33% with on DC. You can extend that further into lower mid 40%'s with extra air qcf+A, however it's really inconsistent so it's not a good idea to do in a match. I've been able to get I think 4 total off in a row. Now a lot of other characters can do 40%+ with one DC normally. Other than that his damage is a bit lower than most characters overall.

It's not a problem outputting large amounts of damage with Benimaru, the problem is that it takes him more Drive Cancels / Supers to do so. I think I actually have in one of the vids I captured doing 3 or 4 air qcf+A in the corner. I'll see if I can upload it tonight or tomorrow.
