I'm trying to do Takumas missions, I'm on mission 7 at the moment and can't seem to cancel ;fd ;b to Hienshippukyaku. Does charge partitioning exist in kof 13?

Nope. You have just barely enough time to charge during the animation of f+B. Try charging immediately and canceling as late as possible.

Just adding on to what Omegaryuji said, try inputting ;fd ;b as soon as possible, and doing the Hienshippukyaku as late as possible. You'll find you have just barely enough time to charge the move.

So if I'm reading this right. Mid standing ;c, input ;fd ;b to extend the charge time. Short motions so to speak? Or can you buffer inputs in command normal animations?

That is correct. You buffer the next attack during the current attack's duration (in Takuma's case, ;fd ;b).

I saw the name of this thread and almost got giddy. "I've been playing ash all wrong, how could I!" I are have been trolled lol. Charging in this game ain't so bad though.

I am having a difficult time doing Leona's third trial....I just dont know to get s.lp to cancel into d + u lp/hp...The combo is cr.lk>cr.lk>cr.lk>s.lp>d + u/lp + hp....

If i'm not wrong, I recall that in that trial, the standing lp doesn't had to hit
You had to press it when you are in neutral position from the d_u but you had to be really quick

yeah u can whiff it and the combo goes through...I just thought there was an easier way to do it...Looks like hard work is going to have to be applied lol

Oh no, Ash likes to be a damn pain in the ass to those who play him as well as his opponents lol. It's not so hard though, you'll get used to it.

Just wanted to say thanks for the tips given. I had no problems blowing through Takumas mission trials!
