@Custle - a nice account indeed

@Bakaboy - Thanks for noting that, hopeful as well.

Hopefully it's not solely for talking about mobile crap or their new art of fighting pachinko/slots game. (although I do purely like the animations)

Still surprised it was Beni & Terry.....

Will be playing the beta-test lottery very soon.

#4
Oh hey can you post the vids to the video thread? I didn't think they were available yet.
#5
Thanks Light, going to have to tweet-lobby the man to get that done. Have lost touch since elive went down where we chatted a few times.

Easy enough making an acct these days though since niconico started having everything in english.

I get it now, thanks for the PM.

Looks like they pay homage to the great Polymer with the same move name.

Why not just brutal for it's time, this is brutal now lol

The sheer punishment of hapless thugs lol

Didn't see a move near 17m47 that looked like katategoma, but after seing that, but it's in there somewhere.

Anyone know where I can get the results for KCE Cup 6 that happened last weekend already translated? I know top 2 but would like to see the rest.

No,

http://challonge.com/kcecup6th

google translate doesn't do a great job, but you can pretty much tell who is on the teams nevertheless. If you have any specific questions about a team/player I can help out.

Heard this was a great tourney with rare chrs stealing the limelight till the end. Just waiting eagerly to dune to load the highlight vids up to nico nico soon.

Excellent quality additions and cost efficient at that.

Big ups on posting the video to boot.

That's excellent.

Great to hear that the scene is heating up.

I'm seeing the same out here in Japan based on commentary from players who broadcast. Wondering if there'll be even more momentum once/if/when XIII is up and running on steam with good netcode.

Haregoro always has a rough time against KouKou - I would say he beats KouKou 1/4-5 times at the weekly Kouhaku event at the Versus arcade. Bad luck to go up against those two as I definitely think he has what it takes to win.

I would say most of the Japanese players in general performed sub par to their usual taking in all of that attention. Wish Shoki would've been there for it as he's incredible under those conditions.

Here's something interesting from Japanese KOF news/bulletins site KOF Koucha.

http://kofkoucha.wordpress.com/2013/07/16/kof-xiii-%E3%80%90evo2013%E3%80%91%E3%82%AD%E3%83%A0%E3%83%BB%E3%82%AB%E3%83%A9%E3%83%86%E6%95%B0%E3%81%AF%E5%9C%A7%E5%80%92%E7%9A%84%E3%81%8B%EF%BC%9F%E3%83%88%E3%83%83%E3%83%97%EF%BC%91%EF%BC%96/

A breakdown of chrs used in at Evo's top 16 this year:

Kim - six
karate, Shen, beni - five
flame iori, Nests Kyo - four
claw iori, duolon - three
Chin, Takuma, Ryo, King - two
Mai, Yuri, Hwa, Joe , Saiki, Ash, Elisabeth - one

Although kim, karate, shen and ioris were expected it's very nice to see decent representation of some of the others especially at the top. Props to Romance for his team of yuri/beni/king.

Definitely keen to do that.

Shall be good to pit some new/old chrs against each other. I have at least one you may not be expecting that I'd started using (after a long break) against another friend of ours a few wks before evo ;)

Very much with you on that in terms of chrs and gameplay in LB.

I will however accept a KOF XIV and new SS  ;)
