A day prior to the tournament, personal matches will be held against No. 17 around 4 p.m.
The tournament may possibly be streamed, we will keep everyone posted.
(UPDATE)
There will be a beginner's tournament that will happen the same day as the tournament. This tournament will start earlier and will be capped at 8 players. First come first served so get there early!

Thats good enough to run a stream. You should set up a Ustream for the arcade or one dedicated to KOF.

I created arcadefighters channel =), also the internet will be coming from my motorola Atrix, I will be tethering.
Hey Reynald can you add on the first post that there will be a beginners tournament if there is enough interest, thanks.

The machine from Arcade Infinity was bought and moved to Alex's Arcade thanks to The Answer.

AA has been around for a while (i dont know how long exactly). And the cab does belong to The Answer.

Good shit man, there's a really good chance we are having a beginners tournament so you should join in.
@cibernetico: Alex's Arcade was opened in the 80's so it's been around for a while but not till it was purchased by the new owners about a year a go that the place started to be noticed and I became a little more involved. I bought the KOF 13 board from AI when they closed and put in an HD cab that I had collecting dust, I decided to place it at AA because it would be easier to have some competition and it would help the community grow :)

After hours of testing, I don't think streaming would be a good option because the quality isn't so great. I did other tests with capturing video and then uploading to youtube after, and the quality was much better. Maybe not as good as Scott's, but still pretty decent.

Just so you know we probably will have just short of 16 players total, a few won't be able to make it. To be able to make top 8 just means he would have to win only 1 match. Also we have a few new people, so it will depend on the randomization on the match ups. A better question than him making top 8 would be if he can make top 3.

No. 17 will experience and tell about the battle when he goes back to Japan =) A.I. will be represented.

Yeah, I dunno where this 32 players number came from. We had 15 at the final AI tournament and at the most could squeeze in 5-6 more. I was under the impression it was a small gathering of players out of respect for a visiting overseas KOF'er.

I dunno about that, we play mainly in Alex's Arcade in Santa Ana.

I heard vid94 took out the machine since not many people play it. It's in storage or something

What I would like to do, is to play againts Mr. Kof.

I was brought up Old School 98 and have created my own sense of playstyle. Hope 2 play you some day as well. Thanks for the recognition!
