How do you do cancel combos in this game? It doesn't explain in the 'How to play' section like it usually does.
-
What? You need to be more specific.
-
In videos I thought I saw something similar to Xiii's HD cancel. I mean like cancelling super moves to continue a combo. Basically 2002's FADC? Unless I'm wrong and there's nothing of the sort.
-
if you are referring to something like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4PcgaJj0W0
then this is a kasumi bug, and you cant do this normally in the game.
So in answering you question, no, 2k2/2k2um doesnt have a cancel system from their DMs.

Hi. Do you mean BC activation? Max mode combos (they called that in this game? I forget.) Moves that don't usually combo, combo for a small duration once BC mode is activated?
-
Yea he is talking about how to do max mode combos with the free canceling into and out of. I don't really know how to explain it in words well :S

Well i went off track cos of that...
If he was talking about just standard BC combos, then prob easier to show it then say it.

Yes, max mode cancelling. All I need to know is what buttons to press. Rest I can figure out as it tells you which moves can be Max Cancelled.

Then you press BC

I know for some characters you have to press ;b ;c before inputting the next move... For instance, offline I'll do this combo with Xiangfei:
;c , ;b ;c ~ ;df ;d , ;dn ;df ;fd ;a
Normally, the ;df ;d can't be canceled into ;dn ;df ;fd ;a . But the ;b ;c allowed it to happen, but the input has to be done at a rapid pace...
For Mature, the ;b ;c requires some "pseudo-buffering"...
;dn ;b , ;dn ;a , ;bk ;b ;c (two hits), ;dn ;db ;bk ;c , ;dn ;db ;bk ;c , ;dn ;db ;bk ;c
The ;b ;c allowed me to use her far standing ;b which is a thrust kick that does 2 hits... From there it's just free rekkas... You can be fancy and add whatever in there, but its just a simple ;b ;c combo...
There's also dashing max mode combos, where you hit say a standing ;c , quickly dash and ;b ;c then do another standing ;c ... This is tricky and takes some time to master depending on the character and how their standing ;c and/or standing ;d work...

Thanks for the examples
