Yay!
I call dibs on Jam and I-No.
One thing I noticed...with this announcement, what the hell is gonna happen to the BB community? I mean, I know half the people who have played or do play it currently still believe it to be inferior to GG so...yeah...
Awesome, and about time.
So now, XIII, VF5FS, and GGAC+. Busy year, this will be.

I don't think it'll be anywhere close to a total exodus. BB is still a good enough game, but I'm willing to bet a lot of people are waiting for that finalized version (like AC) before ArkSys let's it rest. I hope AC will get people playing both, and maybe even improving from playing one game or another.
Either way, there's gotta be some kind of celebration going on at Dustloop right about now.

Blazblue has a community? I was under the impression that every so called Blazblue player secretly hated the game and saw it as inferior to Guilty Gear and all the players were saying "Once Guilty Gear Gets online, I'm leaving that Gaysblue shit"
I am so hyped for this.
BB has a decent community but they're very different than the general FGC. I'm sure many players will move back to but quite a few will stick to BB.
I'm calling Baiken.
I always wanted to ask this. Is guilty gear the hardest fighting to learn? i played BB CT,CS,CS2 and the guys at my Lan center would always say it is a extremely dumbed down version of GG...
From an execution standpoint, GG is not so hard. I find the challenge in the overall speed of the game and the number of options available to the player.

For 2D fighters it has the label of being the hardest mainly due I believe the mechanics within the game. Like you have your different guards and such. I also believe it to be a much deeper game unlike a few of the "new" ones out. but the game is still crazy fun and enjoyable to watch in tournaments.
GG isn't as hard to learn imo... It's the same as KOF and VF... There's a bit to learn, but looking at it all at once can be overwhelming for some ("09er repellent" for some)... Just take the game in bit by bit, and learn it... It's not too difficult...
Anyway, I'm surprised no one here is on the Testament or scrub Millia bandwagon... I do play Testament, but I like his playstyle, and was using him for awhile, along with Slayer, Axl, and Bridget...

BB is probably the best introduction to GG you could ask for. Plenty of differences, but enough basic similarities to make the transition smoother than coming from games like SF4, or even MVC.

I think most now are really concerned with who they'll be maining. Sol, Venom, Chip, and Ky for me. Last GG I got to play any kind of serious level was GGXXSlash, so it'll be exciting to relearn and take in new stuff in AC.

You could both be right, as I find GG to be somewhat easy to pick up after a few hours of practice, and some 2D fighter background; I've seen people ST their way through GG a few levels in from practicing 2 hours with Sol. Mastering and pro-playing is where it seems impossible at first.
Honestly, there's so many systems, subsystems, tricks and etc. that it's anything but an easy game to learn. At least Accent Core is.

Man, FHD, and JJBA are harder to learn imo, and I consider myself an decent player of both... GG isn't hard man... Learning the game's options and stuff might be, but that's it...
I sometimes can't tell whether you're trolling or not. Getting to top level play in GGAC is no joke. EVERYONE I've ever talked to in the GG community can agree to that. I'm not talking whether it's easier than another game or not. I hope you're joking with FHD.
Well I'm a May player and I want to learn Anji Mito as my second. I do however enjoy trolling with Zeppa.

Yeah I was pulling ya leg with FHD; however, I never said anything about getting to top level play... All I said was learning GG is easy... Outside of options and such, the only thing that makes it a bit harder for some is mastering FRC moves, and combos that require it...
I think the very first GG was harder than what's available now... Granted there was way less that you can do, but that's kinda the same with ST and SF4, where you can do way more in SF4, but ST is always a harder game to play for many people... But that's all opinion...
So now we know we get this in the Summer. Interesting.

Is it a specific date, or are they giving us the "Sega" treatment and giving us a general time period???
General time period, still don't know the exact date, though July seems popular
i know several people really excited about this, though I think they are all hardcore BB players more the GG players... Dustloop is still pretty busy, seems moreso then this board is
So sad that I won't be able to play the 2 games I want to play the most, GGAC and VF5FS, since both are only downloadable only. :( :( :(
Why can't you download them?
Don't have any way of attaining xbl. I'll have to wait until I live under my own roof
Explain more in detail.
not that it is that necessary given that the bottom line is I'll have to wait, but at home, my dad doesn't allow us to have xbl even if we pay for it, which isn't really so bad because we live in a dead zone connection wise. At uni, I won't have an xbox because my brother takes it during the semester, and having xbl would be too much of a distraction to me anyway, plus the connection at my uni isn't stable enough for online play anyway
Does any of your friends nearby have XBL?
well, I have a really small number of friends and they don't really play videogames, so no. I might be able to find someone at school has xbl though. But I won't have an xbox there =/
Well yeah, you have a problem then. All you need is one person with an Xbox and possible access to XBL.
I don't have a 360, but i always thought and read it was possible to download stuff from the PC in the XBox store-thing official site, then put the data in an storage device, and finally put it in the console.
But like i said i don't have any idea about how that works.
yeah, but I'll get to play them eventually, and perhaps a new guilty gear or vf6 will happen eventually. Plus kof13 is really good
@Delta you can download games from xbox.com, but then you have to download it still using xbl to your xbox, the purpose of this is to not need the physical disc. Or... this is how I think it works. If one could dl xbl games on the computer then transfer them to xbox without xbl would be a godsend though

Well this is certainly an interesting turn of events.
So, does that mean we're getting +R or just + now?

I'd wager we're getting +R.
what does GG AC +R mean? A completely new game adding on top of Accent core?
It means most of the cast getting new moves and balance changes. Essentially a Super version without new characters (at least...that we know of, I doubt it though).
If they are making new moves by reusing the sprites and animations, i really doubt they are making any new character.
Well Kliff and Justice are sorta new characters, they weren't in the arcade versions, only in the console as unlockables, but they were always banned from competitive play.
Maybe this time they will be balanced and be allowed in competitive play.
Also there is the EX versions of characters, those were all banned previously before as well, possible they may be useable. I actually always liked EX Slayer.

I wish Sega did this for Dural. Oh well.
Im really hyped for this. A bunch of cats are trying to get on this all of a sudden like they've been playing since XX. I hope the true heads come through for the scene though.
This sounds like a very good thing. If we do get +R online, maybe more new players can be on, or closer to even ground with everyone having new things to learn.

Yeah, I don't think the true heads showing up will be a problem.
I'm pretty sure +R is on after seeing this:
GUILTY GEAR XX ΛCORE PLUS R Presents...Re-Balancing the Balanced for Dummies! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igHnI6VoEqQ#ws)
It's showing HD borders, which I'm pretty sure aren't necessary for the arcade release. Hopefully Johnny gets buffed and Eddie can go fuck himself.
I think that in this case are neccesary, they had showed them since the arcade release was announced
