For PS3, i would like to known which one you use to play KOF XIII?
None. I use the Neo Geo pad that SNK released in stupidly low numbers.
I use a Hori RAP EX stick made for the 360 on the PS3 (converter) that or a Sega Saturn Dual Pro Stick if I hook it up on the Ghetto Arcade Cabinet. If I did use a pad I would use an old Japanese Sega Saturn Pad. It's my preferred pad.
I would use dpad
Analog stick definitely when it comes to the PS3 controller.
Tried learning with the dpad first but it kept feeling very iffy and inaccurate for super and special motions.
Then gave the analog stick a shot and never looked back. Specials, supers and HD combos became a non issue right away.
I use a QANBA stick, I tried to use d-pad once but it didn't work out, lol. It felt restricted to me compared to stick, especially doing Supers or Neo maxes.
I'm using Qanba RAF 4
I havent seen any good kof player using a pad till today...!
used pad for a while after i started and realised i couldn't play with it so i quickly moved on. Personal issue, but i can't play with either d-pad or analog since neither feel right for me.
I use a typical MCZ joystick and a Logitech PC Pad (the d-Pad of course) - I never use analog when I use the pad.
I also can not playing certain characters (Leona, Ash) without a stick, because their HD combo's are just not accessible to me when I am using a pad.
For now I use the pad.I will invest in buying a stick soon(have my eyes set on a Qanba Q4). I find that I have to alternate between the d-pad and the analog stick in order to perform certain movements.
I play in Xbox 360 D-pad
(maybe I'm the only one who plays XIII seriously in this pad lol)
Well use analog stick and D pad think getting better pad set over all

Really? With the analog stick I feel like my motions are just flying around all over the place.
Anyway, I use the d-pad. Specifically speaking, I use an original Playstation 1 controller (without analog sticks) right now.
I'm on Xbox and I use the analogue stick, just can't numb my thumb over the d-pad to do notations but I think it would be better as trying to do certain movements are tricky.
I try to jump/hop forward but end up doing just a neutral or I think I'm downbacking but apparently I'm not, it's just that transition areas at the diagonals.
I'd prefer the d-pad if I was using pad, probably on either PS3 or 360.

I would never opt for a pad at this point, but when it comes to pads yes the original PS1 d-pad is my old faithful. I never had the pleasure of playing on a Saturn pad before, though. It's apparently the most coveted of them all.
