Title: New here, San Francisco player
Post by: Coliflowerz on August 22, 2013, 07:25:26 AM
Wow, the security is tight here...

My online name is Coliflowerz, please call me either that or Flowerz. People on streams have started calling me Coli, and that's cool and all, but it bothers me for some odd reason... :P

I started playing KOFXIII on the iOS version, and picked up the console version only about half a year ago. My primary team is Kula, Kensou, and Maxima/Claw Iori.

I also play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, a little bit of SSF4AE, a little bit of UMvC3, and a little bit of P4A. I've been meaning to seriously play Tekkan Tag 2 and 3rd Strike sometime in the future when I get my hands on it.

I'm into anime, drawing, and guitar. I also have done collaboration Let's Play with my friends at HiddenSwitch. Shameless plug incoming... http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYzxVoqmkPYpTiDh7YCzXVw (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYzxVoqmkPYpTiDh7YCzXVw) Ok.

Feel free to hit me up about whatever!

Welcome to the community Coliflowerz.

Hope you get to interact with KOF players in your local scene, or online (on Steam if things go well by the beta's end).

Thanks man. I'm actually starting up a fighting game club here at my high school. Gonna try and teach people KOFXIII and possibly 3rd Strike and Tekken (gotta study up on those...). Hopefully that goes well :3

At the high school level, I hope they can take to it well. Having someone who knows the basics helps the most. I wish you luck in teaching XIII and 3S, though I think it'll be easier with Tekken. Maybe tell them playing these games will help them play other fighters pretty well.

Yeah, that's the reason I'm teaching those and not like, SF4 or Marvel. The skills learned transition very well to other fighters. I'm worried they'll get intimidated by the execution barrier though. That's about it. And money :P
