Yo guys I'm Joe from Norcal (Hayward, CA). I've started getting into fighters in 2011 when MvC3 came out, and with the release of KOFXIII on Steam, I'm pretty excited to play people. I still gotta learn first haha. My first KOF was '99, but I was 5 years old and didn't know what the hell I was doing, but I had a blast. After watching lots of KOFXIII high level play, I was shocked as to why I didn't get into the series sooner. It's one of those great "honest" fighters out right now, and has the things all great fighters have.
I'm probably not gonna hop online but I look forward to the day when I'm "decent" lol. So yeah, nice to meet everyone.

Unfortunately, Steam Edition doesn't run well for me. I can only play for like 10 minutes before I get lag, and this was in trial mode. Should've looked at the specs needed more carefully lol. Tis a shame.
See if you can get a new graphics card man. That might help. I got the beta code but my comp couldn't handle it either. Like, not even after 10 min, but as soon as movement appeared on screen XD

Unfortunately I'm on a laptop lol. I talked about with some people in the KOF Steam forum, and I found out the problem, so hopefully it'll get fixed!
Also have a question, are the trials harder than general / HD Combo BnBs execution-wise?

the trials pretty much just give you an idea of what is possible. The stuff you do is almost never practical or optimal. Fun to do, some are pretty flashy, but they're nothing worth practicing for the most part.
Yeah I know. Just asking cause I can only barely get up to trial 5 with every character lol. My execution is terrible.
It'll come with practice. The execution barrier in KOFXIII is high, but very rewarding; if you manage to complete the later trials, you'll quickly find older trials that you found hard initially will be super free. you will improve, as long as you keep at it. Make sure you get matches in tho; it's a common trap to focus on combos and forget how to move, punish, etc. good luck~
