I've gotta ask: Why is KOF using a 99 second time? That really changes the game completely since the winner's life gain is based on time left in the round.

^ I agree. Ultimately it's your tournament, but all the tourneys that we've seen in America, UK, and Japan are all based off the 60 second timer FYI.

I actually support the 99 timer thing.
I think it should be the standard time for every game. I think with 99 there be almost no Time Overs also.

Sorry it should be 60 second timer for KoF and 90 seconds for MK9. It was a typo on my part. I have corrected the top post.
