Title: So, has SNKP completely forgotten about Xbox Live Arcade?
Post by: Cibernetico on February 16, 2012, 03:16:27 AM
When the hell are we going to get anymore classic Neo Geo games on there? Do they even care anymore?

I will pay for a neo geo station service in 360, problem is that I don't see microsoft giving them the option to put some games as easily as the first years of the console, and sadly, game room bombed, It would have been cool to see neo geo games there

yeah i remember reading about that a while ago i honestly didn't think that a single patch could cost that much i wonder if snk has ever put any thought into releasing anything on steam

If they were smart they would embrace the PC market instead of running away from it in fear of piracy.

My guess is Playmore has signed an "exclusive" licence for all of their Neo Geo properties to Playstation and the Neo Geo Station. So seeing any Neo Geo properties in the near future is probably out of the question.

That being said it makes me wonder if the atomiswave games fall under the same contract? I'm sure they can make a few bucks releasing KOF XI, Samurai Shodown 6, and Metal Slug 6.

Yeah, Samsho Tenkaichi Kenkudaken was my favorite recent Samsho game... I'd definitely love to crush cats in that game with Andrew if they ported it over on psn or xbla...

XI was supposed to be ported to xbla, along with NGBC, but maybe they only had time for the latter, and not the former seeing XIII would be coming around the corner, and the manpower was pretty low at that point...

Actually KOF XI was supposed to be one of the 1st games coming to the 360. We heard about that before FFS or SS2.

Good luck. I think George Lucas is in charge of the Neo Geo Station. Feels like either 2015 or they'll give up.

If George Lucas were in charge of neo geo station, all the sprites and backgrounds will be changed for 3D versions because ''that's the way that the original SNK would have loved to make it if the era allowed it''

^ Ugh! Don't remind me. Though KOF 99 on DC was almost passable the majority of them never made much sense to me.
