What I will say though is that Evangelion is the most overrated shit ever that has no idea what it's talking about. Kinda like Xenogears.

Yeah, I absolute love Araki's style and can't get enough of it. I also completely respect how the series is basically devoid of spoilers. It's all action all the time.
I really wish they got around to making animes of the series already. Besides the movie based on Phantom Blood and the severely short OVA on Stardust Crusaders, they haven't had anything on this legendary series. It's a great time to do it with all this shitty moe crap coming out EVERY DAMN SEASON!

I would also say that among the ones that have been named that Baccano!, Ghost In The Shell SAC Monster, several Gundam series and Texhnolyze are also among my favorites.
With Baccano!, Durarara and Monster in a three way tie for my all time favorite.

Seiya, I have watched as a kid and am still watching as it continues with a new one on air now. The OVA, lost canvas is hell good, currently watching that. The original series is hell brutal and crazed and that used to air on like saturdays during the kiddie shows lol.
Basilisk/Kurozuka, the best ninja ones I can reccomend. Used to read the Basilisk manga as well, so badass. So ninja.

Samurai Champloo / Cowboy Bebop
Hunter X Hunter (penultimate shounen anime, though I have yet to watch Rurouni Kenshin)
Golgo 13 (the films, the anime adaptation is a nightmare).
Berserk (one week to go iirc for the OVA!!)
Are the ones that stuck with me (very tired of shounen these days), in terms of manga I've only read Kozure Okami (Lone Wolf and Cub, highly recommended), and Berserk.

lol c'mon dude, the original Burn Up I consider a classic. It was ADV Films very first title. It was among one of the first anime I saw (Along with Ninja Scroll and the Street Fighter II Animated Movie), it holds a special place in my heart lol.The newer ones were silly and terrible though, and should be avoided.
I'm just a fan in general of 80's/early-mid 90's anime.

Burn up! was one of my first to but to put as an example to "remember how awesome anime was" doesn't cut it. It was bad then and it's even worse now. It didn't have enough fanservice or action to be good at all. Seikon no Quaser, Queen's Blade and Ikki Tousen are all recent and were much better at juggling tits and fighting. So that's a really bad example.
We've got a lot better ecchi anime than before, I'm just fucking sick of how much there really is.

Regardless of what it is. I'm using them as examples against Burn Up! because it's total shit, it's bad at everything. I ain't trying to defend any of these, because I don't care for ecchi stuff. (I do like Seikon, but only because it's entertainingly messed up)
I'd rather they start serializing more seinen manga, but that's not going to happen any time soon. Hopefully the Berserk movies will change things around. If they ever get around to localizing them at all.

I never said Burn Up was good, but for what it's worth, half hour action packed shorty with hot babes that manages to pull you into the hot wicked awesome world of JAPANIMATION.
There were a ton, A TON of anime that did what Burn Up did, but a million times better back then. I just used it as an example.
What I want to see is a new animated series based on the original Battle Angel, straight up from the manga, and Gunsmith Cats.

Big Windup is my favorite sports anime,has a lot of depth and does accurately depict several aspects of baseball and the Japanese old school style of playing the game. It's a bit slow at first though and Mihashi can be a bit of a baby at times but is fairly minimal and his character goes beyond just his intial impression... is also too bad the DS game never came out here haha. I've been meaning to watch more baseball shows, namely One Outs since i've heard some good things about it though I do prefer more realistic skewing shows where as from what I can tell about One Outs is that it is more of a semi unrealistic show. As far as anime on my initial list a special one would be Texhnolyze - that's the shizz
Texhnolyze is a pretty badass show and I like how it had more going on than just people beating the hell out of each other as IMO the story in a lot of these types of shows are completly forgetable and throwaway whereas with Texhnolyze the story is one of the stronger points of the show later on IMO.

I've always preferred the oldschool anime. I just like the 'look' of the animation and it was obviously made for an adult audience. A lot of the mainstream stuff nowadays just tries to aim for a general audience. In which the studio just shoves in things that just don't go together in the context of the story but appeal to people who enjoy the cutsie sidekick, or the angsty teenager, or the Asuka stereotype, etc. Plus I don't like the look of it, it's too clean and refined.
Some of the best shit a lot of the Anime fans almost never talk about is the Spawn Anime:

Some genuinely creepy shit if you're not into Horror. A pity it ends just as it really gets going and the followup series is in development hell.

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in a KOF-related forum, but I've found, back in the day(we'll say around 2003-2004), an interesting clip of a KOF anime(not Another Day, I've seen them all and it's not one of those). Basically, the small clip I saw was Kula KO'd in a pool of her own blood, and K' and Zero were talking smack. I couldn't understand what they were saying(the subtitles were in German, and the VO was Japanese I think, could be wrong). Does anybody else have any idea what I'm talking about?
I'll post generic me liking anime stuff in another post, I just wanted to ask this question 'cause it's been bugging me for the longest time.

Basing your opinion (I stress that word, since you mistakenly believe that your opinion is fact) on a show from one episode, and then talking about "old Lupin" when Fujiko is stylistically similar in a lot of ways to the original source material, really?

I like it a lot, but like said i got to the middle of Volume 3 (currently there are 7 Vol).
If you like stuff with guns and all that, it's a good read. There's also 4 short ovas of 15 min each, they give you a hint of the main characters, but still you need to read the manga after that.

And i've just recently startted watching P4A, is good so far and is much better than Trinity Soul which I gave up on fairly early, I am however wondering what they did about the ending, i'm asuming they used the true ending right?

The show ends with the regular ending on episode 25. Episode 26 (true ending) hasn't been released yet. It's going to be a DVD bonus/OVA sometime in August.

Okay I see, also BTW anyone seen any of Night Raid 1931, is a pretty recent show that blends some mystery, supernatural elements with a historical setting in Japanese occupied China, anyways is a cool show that i'd recommend.

Black Lagoon is kinda cool, got some nice action and characters, is pretty worth while overall and is better than most of these other shoot 'em up crazy action shows that are around IMO.
