Riddle me this: Is Vanessa's Puncher Weaving effective against Heidern's neckspin?

I doubt it. As the weaving doesn't do anything to Vanessa's get thrown box. As Heidern's neckspin is considered a throw.

Guys I've discovered some pretty neat stuff with Vanessa in this game I think is enough to make her Mid Tier...I will be at a tournament called "Beat The Pro" This weekend where guess who is the pro?
Yeah me lol. So while I am playing casuals I am going to test out this stuff with Vanessa that I think in high level players hands can maker her very very deadly because it's a way to do very good damage with her for a level one, or off a overhead f+a like in 2002..now not infinite type damage, but about half life at least...
And for a level 1 on manual activation its halflife off an overhead, guardcrush, or a low...guaranteed.

Good stuff, DG! I'm a big fan of the character and have been working with her seriously for a few days. I've got some new ideas to try out based on that video.

I have trouble max mode canceling those puncher visions (qcf+B) into her dp+A...I can go the other way around, haha. Level one max mode combos are the way to get some high damage...from one level, lol.
To make her mid tier, does she have any good match ups against any mid or high tier characters?

I'd say her worst matchups are K'/Nameless/Ryo/Angel, she can fight King because she can reflect her projectiles and fight her up close as well as slide under projectiles up close. Geese is a tough matchup so is Angel (Angel practically has no bad matchups in 2002 UM), she can also fight Kasumi because Kasumi doesn't really have projectiles either!

How does she fair out against Billy Kane??? I know his ;dn ;a and sometimes st. ;c aren't as strong vs some characters, so does she have anything that poses a threat to him??? And how well does ;qcb + ;a / ;c work against him???

Billy Kane is a tough matchup for Vanessa across the board...I have to experiment more with that matchup I'll get back to you on it. I do have some footage of me playing with her at the tournament I just came from..and yes it's with camera because my direct feed equipment just went out so in 2 weeks I gotta order another one...
