Title: Anyone try out any NeoGeo Station games?
Post by: Dark Geist on December 22, 2010, 04:43:09 PM
Anyone try these yet...especially online?  When I got home yesterday I didn't see the NGS on the PSN but I guess it was released, guess I failed last night lol.  Anyway, gonna check it out when I get off work tonight, just curious of any reviews about the online and the emulation.

The emulation is great. There are tons of options - adding scanlines, smoothing, turning the original bugs on/off, etc. I played SamSho a lot last night and it is great, online and offline. I played 10 online matches and it felt like playing offline. I'm very happy with that. I downloaded KoF 94 this morning and I'll be testing that out over the course of the day. I'll have some impressions up on the homepage later tonight.

I'm just pissed at myself, When I got home from work I didn't see it on the PSN.  I even searched for it and nothing came up for the Station or the games.  Maybe I looked to early.

I'll definately be picking up SamSho and most likely 94.

I been reading mix reviews on the online so far. I will have to wait till tomorrow or next week to get my hands on SamSho to test the online, not really a fan of KOF94 due to the pre-set teams. But I definitely wanna try out SamSho.

Hopefully is as nilcam says and he isn't having problems with the online like others claim to have.

These are great news. I will try KOF94 and SS when I arrive at home in a few hours. Tomorrow morning I will give you my impressions.

It seems like typical SNK online so far, which is not good

Still, the games has lots of options, well, I had friends to play here so isn't a problem.. except I don't have ps3 : (

I wish that the game room stopped to be so worthless and added SNK, Sega and Capcom games, but it seems that the projet flopped

I can see that, I'm just wondering why it's better for some people than it is for others. Usually, that's a sign the connection is decent at the very least, 'cos when the netcode is bad, everyone states it's bad, right?

I suppose you're right though. Not enough to make a judgement yet.

I loved KOF'94. Great game and great emulation with nice options. But terrible and creepy online netcode. I will check my connection features, but the netcode is bad. I hope SNKP could fix it with some patch...

im still waiting for the better games to be released. i think the options should be from the neo cd versions (cause those systems offered more, and later ps2 collections even more). do the games have arragned sountrack? i hope so. also, i lets gope the later games will also have the neo cd art galleries and all the extras like survival mode ala rb2/motw. lastly, do these games offer training mode? since a lot of neo fighters only started having training modes from 96/97 onwards, and even then only for some series. you know, since the ps2 collections did add them.

I'd rather them keep it OST. Adding the AST will make the downloads bigger and take longer. Plus it could interfere with the online play.

bigger is better, and this is the first time ive heard cd quality music and sound will interfere with online play. ast is a must for all the games that have it available. not just imo, just a must. even the psp versions have the option to chose ast and ost.

also anybody know where to find that kof 97 art gallery music, i got it on cdz but couldnt find it on yt.
