Current regular sessions:
The Hubbs': 2nd and 4th Mondays each month barring holidays
JT: 3rd Friday of each month


Any other players in or around the Philly area?

I'm currently right outside of the city by the airport. I've started running a monthly Garou night at my place, at which I usually get about 4-5 other friends/players over to play. A few of them come over the bridge in NJ to play. There's also a stream I'll run during these gatherings if anyone wants to check it out or watch some of the recordings: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jt4mtb. (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jt4mtb.) If there's interest around here, I can try organizing gatherings for other games too.

I'm always up for some games. I mainly play Garou, but I'm willing to dabble into some other fighters if anyone wants to show me stuff. God knows I keep buying fighting games despite how I don't even come close to keeping up with many of them. As far as SNK fighters go, I've got here to play:

Neo Geo MVS: AOF2, Garou MotW, KOF 98 & 2002, Last Blade 1 & 2, RBFF2, and SamSho 2.
PS2: KOF 98 UM, KOF XI, and SamSho Anthology.

So who wants to get together and play?

The only one I could really teach you something more than basics in is Garou MotW. Everything else I've only dabbled in here and there. We just need to sit down sometime and press buttons.

We Spoke once before. In the Greeting thread. It would be cool to someday get some matches in with you. My Garou skills are 4/10 lol. But I never mind playing anything.  Problem is, im always 9 times out of 10 broke lol, wont be able to catch any buses anytime soon to south Philly to get some matches in. Im in Strawberry Mansion

Once, i get things running and get a good job (which sadly wont be anytime soon), I'll try to start joining your Garou Sessions.

Also if you going to Summer Jam, Have fun man.

Hey, it's cool man. We all start from somewhere. A lot of the guys who come by to my sessions are just getting into the game, and I'm willing to show everyone what I can. So whenever you can make it down, it'll be fun.

Do we realistically know how many players we're looking at in the area? I would love to get tournaments/etc etc going, but I need an idea of how many people i'm looking at before making bigger plans like that.

I'm not sure how many in total. Besides the two of us, I know Hubbs is jumping on the wagon, Comeback wants to try it out, Rogueyoshi is most certainly going to be playing, and I know two Jersey guys who are really interested in getting into it. It's really hard to say otherwise who else since I'd imagine a lot of people are going to be hesitant to try after the sour taste of XII. Also if XIII ends up having good netcode, hopefully the players who get into it don't just sit on netplay all day like the majority of the BB community *sigh*.

Anyway for my sessions for anyone that wants to come, I hold them on the 2nd and 4th monday of every month with exception to major holidays.

So my next session will be Oct 24th for all that wanna come.

If it was still coming out this month, I'd totally be in for sure. Now that the release date is 11/22 (Thanksgiving week), I'm only maybe. I'm not sure yet which day I'm heading to the parents' for the holiday weekend.

Not gonna be able to make NEC.

But if anybody is in the Strawberry Mansion area and want to do causal's in any game PM me.

Also does anybody know if University Pinball Arcade gonna do any KOFXIII tourneys once its released. I'm figuring they should since they do MK9 already too, Just as long as they can bring up a decent amount of numbers for at least a round robin.

Aight Philly. Game comes out tomorrow. I'm locked down with school work and my job until Saturday pretty much, but I want to get at least one session in before NEC, so I'm hosting on Saturday. Heres da vitals
111 South Easton Road, Glenside, PA
Its at a store in Glenside, right by the regional rail, bus drops off right in front of the store too. You can generally park in the septa parking lot on Saturdays, or if you feel more comfortable theres pay parking on the street infront of the store.
I know its a holiday weekend, and people have plans with family and whatnot for Thanksgiving, but if you're free feel free to come down. No venue fee, but I only have one copy of the game so an extra setup would be good if we get people coming down.
I'll be hosting starting at 3ish

Dam, I wont be able to make it this week:( Kids, work and my girl is gonna make me insane!!! So im guessing yall do this every week?? Oh and I have a qustion: Did anyone watch Apex this past weekend??? Was it me or like 90% was boring (10% HoTT was when UMvC3 and SSF4 A.E.Ver2012 was in play) as hell! Hubbs' holds a session twice a month (2nd and 4th mondays barring holidays), while I do a monthly thing on the 3rd Friday of each month.

As for Apex, I only caught little pieces here and there. One of the only amusing parts of it for me was on Friday when Jaxel was doodling on stream during some downtime. That pikachu was priceless.

So two quick things to mention:

1) Tournament this sunday at UP (see BiGGDaddyCane's post above this). I'm still uncertain if I'll be able to make this (I'll certainly try to). However, that doesn't mean anyone else reading this shouldn't go. Support our local scene however you can!

2) My monthly session is coming up next Friday night (1/20). There'll be Garou and KOF as always along with anything else anyone wants to play/bring. Hit me up for details if you want to come by!

Ok so after watching the Kumate yesterday, East Coast's skill level overall is shit & this needs to change ASAP. I'll be moving back to Queens this Wednesday, so anyone who's really trying to get better needs to post up on here & contact me because I know people, we all need some fire lit up under our asses because this play is so atrocious & some of the commentary does not help, giving misleading information to stream viewers who are interested in the game. Marco's my boy & no bad blood to him, but he should not be winning that easily when Zidane/XAQ/RyRy (Who's from VA) are not in attendance at all, so if you're mad at me, good, then step your shit up. Also that's not to say I don't appreciate what people are doing but this scene here is so stagnant about actual progress, do you guys not care about losing to the same Month 2 shit, good god, anyway, I hope this helps.

I don't mind hosting or traveling as long as its not too far. I browsed the thread and saw that HuBBs and jt4mtb hold some, but havent seen a post from them in a while.

Gathering on 12/14/12 at night starting around 8 PM - late like 2 AM. We will be ass but streaming, just a word to everyone. The idea is just to get more eyes on KOF, especially in our area. If you are interested, PM us for location.

OK guys so the House of Crack tournament is scheduled to happen tomorrow if the weather doesn't get as bad as reports are saying. Venue and Entry are $7 a piece totaling to $14, 360 is the system being played on, All DLC characters will be available, and tournament time is scheduled to be 3:00PM, don't be later than 2:45PM. If the weather is too bad then this will be postponed until next Friday with the same rules. Also next Saturday is the monthly Team Stickbug  (http://dreamcancel.com/forum/index.php?topic=2807.0)series so make sure you make both if time & finances allow you to. Unless you know the address, PM me for it

Just heard from Henry Cen that KOF is going to be added to Savage Saturdays again JUST for this upcoming month of September & this is scheduled to be the first weekend of that month according to the calendar so whoever can make it out should try to

KOF's been taken out of Team St1ckbug monthlies as of the last tournament in case no one heard yet. So as it stands there's no tournaments going on in the NY/NJ/PA area aside one coming up in November but that's a one time thing & this is just a heads up

The first NEC prep-session I'm going to be hosting will be next Sunday (10/20/2013) from 2:00PM-9:00PM
Please remember that I only have one Xbox 360 setup so another one will be a necessity especially if you guys play on PS3 (Pad players) & bring drinks/food etc. for yourself or have money to purchase it nearby the stores.
