MadKOF made me give up Duo Lon. I realize now I'll never play him to the highest level.

His performance did make me consider some previously slept on characters. The Terry combo video on the SRK front page showed me things I didn't think were possible with Terry and inspired me to pick him up again.

If we're going speculation lists,

1. Marvel
2. AE
3. KOF
4. TTT2

From the way things look, I would have MK9 again over Injustice. Injustice just seems too wacky. P4A has a chance, but it will need strong tournament exposure throughout the season.

AE was running over 2 hours late. Maybe 5 games is the magic number for an Evo.

Duo Lon was probably one of the best characters to showcase KOF to a huge audience. The way he moves in general is magical.

The other games at MLG also are played extensively through the internet, allowing the competitors you have absorbed a huge amount of practice and experience beforehand. KOF? Not so much. If you don't have a consistent practice group near you you're basically SOL. That's probably why the other MLG games have so many more competitors while people are apprehensive to compete in KOF.

If KOF at Evo has even a 50% turnout I hope it gets a sizable chunk of stream time. The only problem is that KOF suffers from Boring Pot Monster Syndrome, which also affects AE. Still, the main stage hype for top 32 or so will be ridiculous.

At this point I really hope BALA finds an opponent that can give him a real challenge. I don't want another foregone conclusion grand finals.

You think after Tokido's performance we'll see an increase in practitioners of Krunk Thai?

Tokido vs Romance God DAMN. If you missed it, better hope you find a video.

So it took me a while to figure out how to do the Air Minute Spike follow up to the Heat Drive and EX Chain Drive. I think it would be handy to add that it's easiest to do  ;dn ;db ;bk ;bk ;b (as in off the backdash) to the wiki rather than just "allows you to do an Air Minute Spikes to continue" seeing as it's pretty tricky at first glance.

I love how with Takuma we're getting "fraction of a meter" combos.

The super cancel window is pretty tight. Like "right as the ko'ohken leaves his hand" tight, if not sooner.

When in HD mode I keep accidentally doing qcf+C [HDC] dp+C [HDC] qcf+A instead of braking the DP. I know that my best solution is just to learn to do it cleaner, but I felt like whining.

I'm knee-deep in maining Takuma so this is kind of just a first run trial, but this is probably the first time the "no alter-egos on the same team"  rule is causing some internal conflict for me.

I feel like a punk now so I transcribed the first combo. Keep in mind I'm a talentless fraud who can't actually complete the whole combo, so this is kind of assembled from what I know from trial mode and doing parts of it. I think it's accurate though.

Cross-up J.C, st.B, hcf+P, DP+C, df+C xx HD, DP+A [HDC] qcb+b, qcb+A, DP+A [HDC] qcb+D, (qcb+B [HDC] DP+C) x3, Neo Max

The first part of the HD is reminiscent of Trial 7. The rest is just a regular loop.

This may also be the fraudulence, but I can't connect the juggle df+C when too close either. I think the hitbox may only be contained in the fist, so it's kind of just going through the guy.

So what's the deal with the icons below the crests? I never played online so I was thinking they were for online achievements, but in any case I never managed to unlock any of them.

Interesting. I always overlook the mid-juggle df. C.

If it's not inconvenient, would you mind posting a transcript of the combos?
