What are some good air to air normals that Athena has while going against the majority of the cast. It seems like she gets beat by anything, maybe I'm just not doing the right type of jump?

But seriously, what happened at GameCenter? Who was running this thing and what the heck happened? I know it's all impromptu, but this is something we can't repeat. Not just GameCenter KoF on the line, but KoF in Norcal needs exposure and we lost a chance tonight.

Any thoughts or some insight? I'm just real peeved.

They made me run the tourney... and all I had to work with was one setup.  No offense to the new players who showed up (you're godlike for competing this early!), but there were a lot of matches that went to the last game with time outs and stuff.  Keep in mind the setup was never empty either; I always kept someone on deck to play since it was dragging out so long.  My suggestion: GC needs to hold a KOF only tourney day, instead of having it on TNT.

Anyone interested in organizing a KoF XIII tournament for Thursday Night Throwdown at GameCenter? I would like it to take off there, but I can't get down there at all. Please let me know and I'll help you out any way I can.

I would totally be down to play in a TNT KOF tourney, although idk how useful I'd be in running it lol.  Is the next TNT tomorrow?

Can the recovery on Athena's "Psycho Ball" be compared to Guile's "Sonic Boom"? The recovery seems really fast. Of course I don't even know the recovery of her Psycho Ball lol.

Not quite, Psycho Ball is more like a Ryu fireball than anything.  Fast enough so that you can DP a reaction jump in, but slow enough that you can't block a preemptive jump in.

I hope this game doesn't go in the way of MK9 where after the big tourneys the scene kind of just dies.

XIII is probably the most solid recent 2D fighter gameplay wise. I hope everyone keeps playing it.

MK9's problem was the stupid updates they kept pushing.  As long as people don't complain about brokenass characters and demand changes (before the game gets fleshed out), KOF should be fine.

I wish I had 2k2UM.  I've literally touched that game once in my life

Xxenace people actually know me for my Athena?  I always thought of myself as a Yuri player haha.

And Kane, no worries man.  I never got to actually introduce myself at the Ranbat, so no wonder you thought I was "Chris Tan".  Hopefully we could have a session sometime soon though; I know Eric (demoninja) has been trying to talk me into going to Socal when console comes out.

Hey dreamcancel, my name's Christian from San Francisco, and I figured I should introduce myself here on the dreamcancel forums.  I'm pretty much completely new to KOF, but I've been a SF4 player ever since it dropped.  I've been playing KOF 13 at the Southtown ranbats and at SFSU (Athena, Kula, Yuri... Team jailbait lol), so maybe some of you know me.  I hope being a SF4 player isn't too much of a stigma here.. but I hope you guys can help me level up my KOF game!
