Europe PSN gets Daytona USA "late November" with no exact date specified.

You could always make a US PSN account to get this earlier, I suppose.

I did the DC analogy because considering than them are newer  than daytona, their remakes weren't that well done

The Dreamcast port wasn't bad at all once you tuned down the sensitivity from its initial high twitchiness. Looked pretty nice, too.

"Lap shaver" simply refers to the obsessive player that grinds laps on single courses over and over again for the purpose of eliminating milliseconds off their lap times.

Might as well post this while I'm here:
Daytona USA (Takenobu Mitsuyoshi & Rony Barrak)

Sort of tempted to grab this off PSN on Tuesday.

Hopefully the elite Daytona USA laptime shavers skip on this. They'd destroy everyone else in Online races.

Is not that I'm surprised by something out of Japan (believe me, nothing surprises me anymore from them), but rather, that it came from this company in specific. See, I didn't think they were capable of doing something like this...

That's fair and understandable. No one in 2011 should be surprised that such games that get developed in Japan.

Particularly not a game that probably wouldn't have seen any mainstream coverage (I use "mainstream" loosely) at all in other territories unless shitty gaming blogs like Kotaku had posted some articles about it back then.

My reaction to this now is the same as it was back in 2007. Strictly, "Eh."

It comes as no surprise to me that such a game exists, and I can't say I care about it beyond that. It's just there.

Currently, I'm only playing KOF 98. In general though, I'm busy trying to NOT be terrible at fighting games. Whether I manage to do so in time for the release of KOF XIII remains to be seen, though.
