So I just got back from my trip to Japan and damn. I truly feel i leveled up my game. The way the Japanese play is so different than most in America. I would like to get some weekly online meetups going. (looks at Jinx since his on my friends list) I made a few new friends while out there and one of them has a 360 and the game. He is a Lion/Shun? or Lion/El Blaze...can't remember lol; who is also down to play in groups. The thing is now setting up and time and day. So anyone interested?

I still play if anyone wants to go a few rounds. Just look for "Emperor Paine" on 360. I have about 4 or so other friends that play often as well.

It's true about Taka. After fighting a few I have yet to see any amazing players with him, but those I
do come across will abuse his weight class and good speed.
I've had to come up with new little strings just for him.
It's truly annoying.

This challenge also goes for anyone else. I want my Aoi exposed to all. That's the only way i'm gonna level up. Normally off Fridays and Saturdays so look for me anytime pst. Sunday-Tuesday anytime after 9pm pst. Wednesday & Thursday 10am-2pm pst or anytime after midnight.

Does anyone have tips for the King matchup?  A lot of people assume this matchup is in Athena's favor, but I'm having a lot of trouble with it for a few reasons:

1. King's light fireball only travels limited distance, so it is futile to reflect back.

2. King's EX fireball pretty much guarantees her win in fireball wars.

3. King's jump CD beats Athena's jump CD clean.

4. King's pokes are superior to Athena's pokes.

*sighs*
It sucks to say, but King is just a better version of Athena.
Your gonna have to play it smart man, because King holds the same tools as Athena but better.
I would suggest working the baits for fireball heavy kings. Get her to jump in and open her up with dp's.
Watch the jump ins for Kings trap shot, especially upon knockdown. I've found many Kings will rely on ex trap shot.
Bait that junk, keep heavy corner pressure, and piss them off by snuffing out all projectiles.
Play it cool, ex teleport out of sticky situations, and happy hunting

Haven't had a chance to fight online (on 360) Shyt just wouldn't let me connect.
I don't mind the game. Something else to play and hold me over while I wait for others.
I do look forward to fighting as many of you guys as possible on this game.

Before I got into KoF earlier this year, I was really hyped about DOA5.  I know that DoA will most likely never be serious, but the games have always been fun when you get into them.  People think it's all boobs and fanservice, and to be fair that it was.  I like the style they are heading towards with DOA5, I hope the gameplay is good to go along with it.

Same can be said about many other games that are not... *cough* *cough* capcom related or praised by certain fanboys. Most people will rip a game without even playing it or giving the game a SOLID chance.
