You cant pick both of them in one team.

That makes it easy then  :)

I just hadn't tried to pick them twice yet I suppose.

I'm still trying to finalize a team for myself but have been enjoying both Takuma and Mr. Karate as of late.  Would it be redundant to have both of them on one team, or are they different enough to justify using both?

General Discussion / Re: Real match execution.

A lot of great advice in this thread already.  I come from mostly a SF background but this problem is something that plagues a lot of people getting into FG's.

As mentioned, don't just practice on a static dummy in training.  Rarely will a real opponent just stand there and let you hitconfirm into a combo.

Before working out combos (you should still try to get them into muscle memory) keep working on fundamentals.  Then watch a lot of your replays and think to yourself, "What could I have done better?"  When analyzing your replays look for missed opportunities where you could have started a combo.  I find that when I'm in the heat of battle you miss 90% of what you'll see when you watch the replay.

All in all, keep playing!

I'm in the process of learning KoF right now and if you play on XBL you can add me.  Gamertag: Yewni

1:  Add an online practice mode that functions identically to offline.  I feel like this is absolutely crucial to teaching a new player the game.  There's so much to learn in KOF and it can't be taught easily with the limited health and constant character switching that happens in 3v3 online matches.

This is what I'd really like.  I'm new to KoF (SF player mainly) and would love to be able to jump into a practice room with infinite time / health and get to learn the basics with somebody.

Hi!

I just started getting into KoF with XIII (I'm a SF guy) and am looking for some people who don't mind playing with somebody who is still pretty new. I'll be online each evening starting tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 29th) and going through the weekend.

My XBL name is Yewni

Feel free to add me and hopefully we can have some fun!

Offline Matchmaking / Northern Ontario
February 28, 2012, 03:44:47 PM
I imagine that this is a long shot but I'm in Northern Ontario (Kapuskasing to be exact) and was wondering if anybody else is nearby.  I often go to Sudbury and Timmins as well.

If anybody from northern Ontario wants to play KoF XIII (or SF3s or SF4) let me know!

Meet & Greet / Newly divorced...

From Capcom that is.

Just a quick "hello" from northern Ontario in Canada.

I've been playing FG's since SFII and MKII but got out for a while.  Came back with SFIV and still play AE2012.  However, I have become a bit jaded in terms of Capcom as of late (SFxT is the final straw) so I decided to pick up KoF XIII.  I'm a huge fan of sprites over 3d models (before KoF I had held SFIII: 3s to be the best looking 2d fighter of all time) and the execution level of KoF enticed me over.

I'm still in the process of learning the basics of KoF but I'm enjoying it so far.  Hope to get to play some people here soon and learn the ropes.
