A lot of the wiki is outdated, I'll notate his standard HD and throw it on the wiki page for someone to update.

Personally I consider Billy, Hwa, and Karate to be the best characters in the game. I'm sure some people will gripe over Billy, but whatever it's just my opinion.

Regardless I would say Hwa is easily a shoe-in for the strongest character.

Also, a local made it to top 8 at CEO, Casanova. How awesome is that? Here's hoping he does well.

that's what I assumed, but you never know

While I was watching a Karate/Mai/Beni player was running something like a ~15 game win streak. The competition seemed pretty strong.

I can verify everything posted by DJ, barring the Thrust kick mention, as D version is prohibitively unsafe.

The only issue I had with MLG was the commentary (and the very obnoxious "let's give it up for E-Sports!" stuff... but that's just me- even if I don't like how they present themselves I must give MLG credit for establishing such a great prize pool). I have a lot of respect for Juicebox and the Answer for doing their very best, but I feel they could both improve a lot still. I find Juicebox to be a little too emphatic to have him onscreen the entire time. I get that he's excited but when he breaks down to grunting and squealing... that's not commentary. The Answer I feel is trying to level the playing field too much, by explaining every little obvious thing. I realize that something that's obvious to me might not be for others, but there is such a thing as oversimplifying things.

Regardless, I was very happy with the quality of play. Hopefully they keep running KOF, it's amazing what's going on in the community at the moment.

This week's runback was great as usual, I really hope they get Steve on the mic more often- I was laughing so hard the entire time. Same thing with Metaphysics.

Regardless, another excellent stream.

There might be some premium stream but you will be able to access everything for free.

I was under the impression (by hearsay) that Clark was commando Schwarzenegger, and Ralf was Rambo Stallone.

Nothing that anyone does at a tournament stops you from enjoying a game with your friends. People who attend tournaments don't typically do it for the money, you know? It's certainly an added benefit, but I'd be willing to guess that a vast majority of the smash community, including the competitive community absolutely love that game. I don't see how that can be a bad thing, honestly.

I play KOF for fun, I also take it quite seriously. When I play SSB, I try to do the best I can, and I have fun regardless. I don't see that as ruining a game. I see that as playing it to my potential. I don't sign up for tourneys for smash, but I don't look down on the people who do.

Hey btw I wanted to chime in on something that was discussed a few pages ago.

I can honestly say that I'm one of those players who just isn't good enough to fully do HD combos so it sort of pisses me off when I do an accidental activation of HD mode. However, it does seem that so far, HD move is pretty much only relegated to those insane combos and props for people who do them.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing if someone out there is experimenting enough to see if there is more to the HD bar than just HD combos. And what I mean by that is someone who pretty much doesn't do HD stuff and uses those bars to make their defensive or offensive games better through good bar usage.

The King of Fighters XIII: Leona - Fun with HD Instant Overheads

I found this to be the most novel use of HD outside of raw combos that I've come across. I also use HD often to guard break.

I sincerely hope that was a bad joke :)
