Here's my info. I just got KoF cause it was 10 bucks on steam. So I'd like to get people to play with and practice with.

Thanks for the tips. I decided to mess around with Hwa to get used to DP motions and it helped out a lot.

Okay cool cause at the con there was a small group of people playing and i was getting reamed pretty hard cause most of the people there used sticks. I wanted to learn with one for awhile now and i had to buy one. But so far the biggest problem I'm having are the dragon punch motions. They just don't make sense to me and always come out as QCFs. But like you said i have to grind it out.

I went to animenext this weekend saw a dealer who was selling arcade sticks for really good prices bought one and have been practicing with it. Though I've been having trouble getting certain things out is there anyone who has tips on how I can learn to easily adjust my play to using the arcade stick?

Thanks for your help guys. First I don't have the steam edition but I plan on getting it as soon as I get a job for the summer. (school work kills me during the semester and I can't work at the same time) And as far as not attacking goes I definitely plan on doing that now toward my non-competitive friends now. During my last school semester we used to do a thing every week where we just get a group of people and play some games in the cafe. Most of them used to say they want to get better but never go about their way to do so. But now I'm going to do my best to get them into it. The KoF community so far to me is a good one and I'm glad I joined it.

Okay I understand, mainly the reason that happens is because I don't want to stop my friends from playing the game completely. Not a lot of my friends are fighting gamers, and I want them to get into them by showing them the game and having them enjoy playing it. I do understand what you are saying about training for footsies and such and I didn't even think of that so thank you.

The combo I'm trying with King is this one. j.D, df+D, dp+K (DC), dp+BD (DC), hcb+B, hcb+D I am able to get the first tornado kick off the second doesn't always connect. I'd say it connects fully maybe 30-35% of the time for me so far but I know i just gotta keep practicing. And thanks for the mature tips.

Ah okay thanks much. Only ones I'm having trouble with are    for King and I know that's an important one to get down. Also for Mature's rekka movement sometimes they don't come out even when I input the move correctly. Is it because she has a certain timing?

So I've been practicing every day trying to get combos down and I'm wondering if someone has tips on how to have better execution because I am frequently not able to finish off a combo because I believe I'm not doing something right.

Brand new to the KoF series and hoping to get some games in and learn.

Hey everyone I've recently joined and recently started playing KoFXIII. Hoping to get a couple of people to play with and do some training as well. Play on playstation mostly so if anyone else does let me know!

Well getting combos down is a bit of a challenge for me (normally is with any fighting game). And I've been looking here and on shoryuken to learn spacing and hit confirm. Main problem at the moment is when I do play with other people they only play the game casually so I kinda want to just go all out but don't want to at the same time. So i actually don't know if I'm getting any better.

Hey everyone I'm just starting out in KoF and I was wondering if anyone has any tips to better my game. So far I like playing Mature, and Andy. Although I haven't actually played against other people yet I've been doing nothing but practice mode for a few days now. If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it.
