Hey all, Ive been following the Kof scene for some time now and i think i finally want to learn the game. But i dont want to buy the game and find out that i dont like it all that much so anyone that goes to NL want to help me learn a little before i actually buy the game.

On Friday is the Kumate 7... Some of the best NYC player will be there. why don't you come and have some fun, you don't have to play in the tournament, but if you come early you can as anybody for some games... I'm going to there early myself ( around 2 or 3pm. ) I have no problem in going over game with you... I'm not the best but I'm not bad either.

peace out!!!

Pro-Gear / Questions regarding Tournaments Fight Sticks Rules?
« on: September 15, 2012, 04:19:50 AM »
I only have just have a few question for you guys.. What exactly is allowed in tournaments today? The reason I ask is that about three months ago I did the change from the Pad to Stick (I got the HORI VX.) I like it but I think is time to move to a better stick (I'm thinking the Eightarc Fusion.) I went to my first local tourney last week and I'm planning to go tournaments on the regular basis. I been checking as many tournaments sites as I can but many of them said about the same things no wireless controllers/sticks, so is that the only rule for controllers/sticks what about changing the gates in the stick like a 4-way to a 8-way. I like to have a better explanation in the subject if anyone can help with that I will appreciate.

Peace out!!!

I just got home from the Kumate#6... I had a BLAST!!! even do I got blown away in the first round, but I knew that will happen... I'm still not use to the fight stick, everyone keep saying that it will take a year to get used to it, and I'm only been using it for about three weeks now... So little by little to get back to the pad level and than higher.

Congrats to Malik for getting second place. I will be in in the next Kumate... peace out NYC!!!

If you're serious about leveling up, come to the Kumate next Friday or at least try in your best ability to

From there you can chat up with players & ask around to see who plays around with you. AFAIK, Pachu is one of the few that goes to NL on Fridays & Saturdays so if you do go, you can expect to see him there & just ask for some games.

I will be at the Kumate.

I should make it out to this, assuming I don't get a scumbag call from my job.

I am in the same situation as you... I just started a new job (Filming,) so I can't really said no to a last minute call.
My Boss is one crazy Director that likes to shoot something out of the blue all the time.
I really like to make it to the Kumate... I'm just tired of playing online with bad net-code.

Well I think they will announce something at the incoming TGS. I'll be shocked if they weren't working on something new all this time since XIII's release.

Let's hope so... TGS sounds like the best bet right now.

Man I dont know why all the fuss about P4?! I dont see it as a great fighting game; it's another BB which guilty gear it much better to tell you the truth.

Honestly why all the hype?! someone explain please!

Mmmh! For me, it has nothing to do with BB or GG... I'm a big fan of the Persona games, I play all the PS1 games (P1,P2S & P2P.) I played the Japanese one that never came to America (P2S, It's now in the PSP)

Golden Axe: The Duel, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. I feel the same about those games, I love them and a fighting game can only extent the series. it allow you the fan see the series with new eyes.

I about the fighting... it is a good solid game, I never play BB so I don't know how good the game is, but I did play all the GGs... It you like GG you will like Persona, it has the same feeling.
