Has anyone checked out the rumored Terry neo max hitting fully in the corner in climax/steam edition yet? I've only seen it mentioned in comments sections so far. If this is actually the case it takes away so much of the situational (position wise) HD combos element away from Terry and makes him have a super easy set of HD combos for 3-4 bars that do 850+ to kill very quickly for minimum hits and time consumption, making him a way bigger threat in the first or second slot. I've got 862 for 3 bar and kill for 4 that are relatively easy that just depend on the spacing being mid screen off a close standing D.

Great stuff Desmond. I don't know if you remember but I talked to you about the podcast at Frosty Faustings and stuff like this is exactly what I was looking for. While the tournament coverage is good for the other podcasts I felt like they were too much about about making the scene grow and gripes about KOF getting te shaft. I think this will help the scene grow by distributing useful and accessible information.

Wish list:

-Juicebox and David Kong for system mechanics once characters are done, there might be other players but those two are great at explanations and of course Dandy J or Kane 317 would be awesome as well.

- Possibly Konkrete for Vice, since he one of the few US us Vice players that I can think of.

-Mario E for Terry

-Anyone you can get ahold of for Joe, he needs more love, Hellpockets just out of character love, bala plus translator for tech.


I know it's tough enough to wrangle one person for interviews but having people that approach the same character in a different way would be fantastic.

Keep this up, this is exactly what I want from the site.

Feel like this thread needs a boost. It's great for helping sort out second characters and efficient meter usage for conservation or dire situations. In light of a couple of nice Vice combos videos I've seen recently, I'd like to contribute.

For half drive meter and one bar super:

hop  ;c, close  ;d  ;fd ;a ;dn ;db ;bk ;c  st.  ;a ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd ;b ;d st.  ;d ;fd ;a ;dn ;db ;bk ;c (DC)  ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd ;d  ;dn ;db ;bk ;c ;dn ;df ;fd ;c

Great combo because it builds back all the super it spends, plus about 15% and gains back about 35% drive, making it a pretty meter positive combo, and it does 485 damage.

Edit: Landing the standing  ;a is a link into the free juggle  ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd ;b ;d, which is a bit strict but not impractical in an offline match, just a risk reward on how on point you are the day. The key is to cancel into the first  ;dn ;db ;bk ;c late so that the fall speed of the character matches Vice's recovery. I got the idea from a combo performed by Persona on Leona so I random selected and got that link to work on Raiden. I'll check on the more common and neutral sized characters before I try and argue with anyone about this viability. Take it with a grain of salt until I provide video doing it on Kyo and Iori. Character fall speeds vs. size are a bit enigmatic in this game so feel free to help me out in testing. If this works on most of the cast it's a good bread and butter for vice with a bit of meter. May cross post to the vice forums for verification.
