And lol at Chandelure being playable. Did not see that coming.

Meet & Greet / It's been a long time

Thought I reintroduced myself after disappearing for a while. OG's from Dream Cancel know me, but to newer people I haven't met. Greetings, I am the resident speedster of Dream Cancel lol.

Where have I been? TL;DR Was in a huge slump/depression for 3 years, no joke. Only in May 2014 I began to have a new job and things started to happen.... Somewhat. Wasn't until Smash 4 came out and I went to their tourneys that things started to open up a little. Fast forward to today and I'm back on my feet making moves. I heard about KOFXIII being dropped from EVO, which made me a bit sad because I was too late in getting back into KOF. So now I do Smash 4 (Honestly the game/community is kinda getting on my nerves so might drop it eventually if I feel the same way in Feb.) But now KOF XIV is on the horizon and I'm looking forward to it.

Now if only KOFXIII goes into some sort of revival or sorts. I'll be checking on you guys.

Social Club / Thinking of creating a story

Well in one of my fits of randomness, I thought up some random ideas for a new story. I thought about it some more, but I thought of how this will work. Now this sounds like I'm going to make a story about KOF, however doing that is well, we can have better ideas than that. No, this story will be different. There will be shout-outs and some cameos (screw your 4th wall), but there will be absolutely NO main fights with any KOF villains or heroes (Sorry, no vs. Kyo/Terry or whoever or any curbstomps of any kind lol. Go look elsewhere if you want that). Besides everyone new will be balanced so they don't look overpowering in comparison to existing KOF characters in any way, so no worries.

The majority of the characters will be new and there will be 1 (MAYBE 2) instances will an existing character(s) will interact with the main characters of the story to push them along. This will be an adventure so some existing locales will be visited and newer locales will be created (There's more newer locales than existing ones, don't expect this to take place in Southtown all story long).

I created the first 4 characters already. Still thinking on how I'm gonna do the rest of the characters. Some of the story and how it's gonna go is almost done. I may either do this in regular story format or make a "choose your own adventure" out of it (Don't know how I'm gonna do that yet). Either way I'll make this as awesome as possible. If there is some interest, I can post up the first four as well as more info on this.

I may be doing this by myself but I don't mind if someone wants to help out.

Need to think of a title, can't exactly put KOF as part of the title. Hardly has anything to do with it.

I have some idea of where I'm going with the team. So which characters have the best mobility and speed?

P.S. Someone besides Mai please. She's been covered to death in this subject area and is already on my team.

That just leaves 2 more slots left.

General Discussion / The netcode vent thread

Ok I'm starting to feel that I wasted my money on this. After Madman's tournament (or lack of) this really started to sink in.

Nothing against the game itself, but if I can't get any matches online, that's where I have a problem.

Nobody ever wants to play (and for good reason), so I'm going to give this thing up until January to fix the online.

If not, this game goes back to the store and I'll never look back again. Since nobody plays online, this is what I have to do. Sorry but I can play the cpu but so much.

Feel the same way? Perhaps you think that some players aren't giving the netcode at least some credit?

What do you think?

Online Matchmaking / A final run through 2k2um before all hell breaks loose

As you already know, KOFXIII is coming out next week Tuesday.

Seeing that it will be nothing but this game for a good while, let's take one final farewell to 2k2um.

I'm going to hold this on Sunday since events like these are usually held around then and it looks like I'm not interfering with any other events (I hope not).

So I ask, which time on that day is more comfortable for you guys? Let's end 2k2um off with a bang :D.

FT10/training, you name it, it's legal. After all it IS a get together (session) for this place.

Training Room / So what else do you use to train?

I've been thinking, alot of players use training mode for combo practice most of the time.

If the game permits it, they work on defense too. But some like to take a different approach to their training.

So besides the average use of training mode, do you do anything else that helps you?

Do you use another game to train as well? I'm interested in hearing your answers  .

Sometimes you run into a good game with folks. Other times you run into a few people that makes you question society, intelligence (or humanity).

For instance, I was playing Zombies on Black Ops today. I ran into some kid that wouldn't shut up, talking trash to whenever he could. He decided to open the bottom door (we were on Kino) when everyone was going to the top door. He got himself killed and got another person down while trying to go after him to revive him. I asked why he would open the door and not go with the team and the little kid said "because I can". 3 rounds down, he gets downed again by the horde (with a Ray Gun by the way). Everyone else was downed too, only difference is the could easily be saved while the n00b with the Ray gun had a huge horde on him. He kept yelling into the mic to "save him first I have a Ray Gun!!" I decided to go after the others since they was closer (not to mention going after him was suicide), he died again and started to throw insults (Guess losing the Ray Gun makes n00bs rage).  He said everyone sucked and I pointed out that he must be worse if you get killed in a early round while having a Ray Gun.

We eventually had to start over, during the next game, he calls me a beaner (Great now he's a racist dumb kid). He kept repeating beaner the whole game nonstop. Then he gets my teammates killed again by trapping them between him and the zombies. All game I usually had to go solo. Next game, he tries to kill me by running into me with a grenade. I just stepped out of the way and he ended up downing himself. I just teabagged him and left him to die, then left the game.

Even though I seen this on vids on youtube as well as hear stories about it. I haven't really experienced stupidity and ignorance like that in person. Guess people was not kidding about live lol. Anyone have any stories about the monsters behind our mics XD? Ran into alot of these kids today .
