Clark Still / Re: Clark Still
« on: July 09, 2017, 11:09:09 PM »
Clark is nasty in xiv. His far standing C is supercancellable and extends tbe grab range. Clark's crouch C is special and super cancellable now, a decent conversion tool as well.

The properties change depending on how far away you perform Shun's qcb A. Combos and strings it comes out immediately so wouldn't that be the first active frame?

How does cancelling affect the frame data of specials? For example, Shun ei's QCB A is -5 on block, if crouch A is plus 2 does QCB A come out 2 frames ahead?

I had iori recorded using CL C and Shun's CR B, CR A, QCB A string seemed to beat it every time. Iori's CL C is 4 frames, pretty quick.

Eiji can combo his st.D from a hit confirmed cr.A. His normals are pretty decent for block strings and what not. Good push back on most of his special moves.

You're also not allowed to touch yourself while you're playing. I constantly do that and get disqualified for it every time.

What part of Kentucky do you live in? I live in Cincinnati.

That would be cool because I'm close to Cincy, Northern Kentucky. Even if he can't do a tourney or whatever maybe we can play some casuals. Let me know what's up and even tell him to message me or something. I know where the arcade is but they are all about what's new and now. They play XIII but it's mostly SF4 and anime games. The thing that also sucks is that if you don't play SF or anime games people kind of ignore you and act like they are better or their games are the shit. A couple of people are cool but not all.

Sorry to post in an old thread, but it's worth mentioning that her mayhem can be followed up with a well timed normal and an air normal in max mode. Her outrage can create a juggle state after cancelling it out with ABCD, and her ravenous can create a juggle state if you catch the opponent in the air with it on any hit.

If I can save up some extra cash I could meet you at one of those events or something. I am terrible at 02 UM though. I would still play it.

I can only think of a couple uses for someone to cancel a CD attack. Like Clark, no good there. Iori, and Kyo have good specials(both of their qcf + A) give them good space and will punish jumpers.

You want to get good at KoF learn block strings, good pressure can lock someone down. Find frame traps to score counter hits. Develop a good high low mixup game, you don't want to use the same option over and over.

I don't mean to shit on your article, but I'm an observationalist and its what I see in high level play.

It's not essential to combo with forward + B. I don't because he has better easier combos. In 98 UM he has even better stuff he can pull off.

You guys are right. I just don't have the option to play online right now. Plus I want a chance to win money or something. I want to travel around and play as well. The older KoF games I'm referring to are 98, 98UM, and maybe 2002/ 2002UM.

Can someone please host for older kof games? I'm afraid I'm not into xiii. I'm ready to show what I have.

It's not a must, but I would encourage you to learn as much as you can about them. The most common one I see is when an opponent tries to empty hop you can hold back and press ;c or  ;d. You will either grab them or your close  ;c/ ;d will come out faster than their attack.
