Offline Matchmaking / Re: New York / New Jersey Players! Stand Up!
« on: February 08, 2013, 08:58:41 AM »
This Friday 2/8/13 I'm going to be at Next Level. For those of you local KoF players hopefully can make it out for some casuals etc. Trying my best to post early as possible to give people time before they make plans for the weekend etc. I've been at Next Level quite frequently in the past weeks every Friday. Wasn't able to post with the heads up because it was more of a last minute kinda thing. So whoever is stopping by this Friday just post a reply and hope to see you guys there  :).

People are going to Bum's more than likely this weekend

Looks like im not going to be able to make it to TNL friday. But I will definetely be at Bum's tourney this weekend if everything goes as planned because of the storm etc.

This podcast is so sick it always leaves me entertained and well informed about the KoF scene. I especially like listening to it at work while I'm doing my errands kinda makes the time past by faster.

What's up guys? Wondering if any of you in the tri-state area usually go to Next-Level Arcade on Friday's and Saturday. It's a possibility that I might stop by either Friday or Sat. (5/11 or 5/12) How is the KoF crowd there are alot of people playing or no just wondering since i haven't been there in almost a year.

Training Room / Re: Options against roll-heavy players
« on: January 25, 2012, 11:05:39 AM »
If your characters have cr. attacks that are able to cancel to full combos go for it. Either that or grab while hes rolling. What i really like to do is bait the roll out, kinda watch when your opponent tries to roll. Whenever you do a certain blockstring on even a fireball see how he responds to that and act accordingly. If he rolls after your throw a full screen projectile try throwing out the slower version run behind it if possible you see him roll throw him. Also you can punish rolls sometimes with supers but that is a little risky and I'm not so sure when the timing is exactly but I've done it a few times. You feel a little gutsy go for the DM but I would test it out before-hand.

I'm also having somewhat of the same problem. However the difference is setting up crossups. I'm not really sure when I can crossup and the correct spacing for them. Can someone explain to me when and how should I crossup. I mean sometimes I perform them other times I don't I just cant get quite a hold on it. If you could use Ex-Kyo as an exemplary character that would be great.

Ex Kyo / Re: EX Kyo (NESTS)
« on: January 13, 2012, 05:19:42 PM »
EXKyo currently being played either 2nd or anchor. I think hes really solid taking a little more work than XIII Kyo but good nonetheless. His cr.b - st.b chain is really good addition for him. Idk if they fixed the bug from the 360 version dealing with the R.E.D Kick during command grabs. Also his EX-Oniyaki (DP) is really good because it hits on both sides so you can nullify crossups along with it throwing the opponent on the opposite side sometimes when they try to jump to you.
